I didn't hear the K600i myself so I can't assure you which is better, what I can only say is that K750i loudspeaker is pretty loud and can be heard almost in all conditions.
Well thank you very much for such an encouraging post like yours.
Anyway it would have been much better if you have informed us of how many units precisely have been broke down from the 10 000 units which you've sold ?? That will be much fair and accurate for us to tell if that info is a true one or just another brand fan's post.
BTW if you've sold 10 000 units alone as a dealer or as a retail man or whatever then I wonder how many units have been sold around the glope ??? And you know what, if it's not that good it wouldn't have been so popular, instead you'de find all the forums in the whole net admiting that it's not a good one and no one from the hundreds of thousands who already bought it would have been bought it from the 1st place right ??
By stating that you've sold 10 000 units alone you accidentally proved how popular this model is, and I have to thank you very much for that ;).
A phone that breaks down....K750i
and...tell you something, when it does, no matter how many times you send your unit for service, that particular unit will keep breaking down.. take it from a man who sold 10000 units since launch
dont buy it
Can some 1 tell me , Is the Sound quality of the loudspeaker much better then SE K600 ? Please Tell me , I need to know
This question has been answerd mmmm about 1 000 000 times. How long do you wanna record videos ?? No matter how long your need/desire is, it will meet it as long as you have free space in your memody.
OK....Since this is a truly serious issue we'de be very glad if any of you guys who read this and actually have this phone to share your opinion/experience with us. It's kinda very hard for me to get around 150 sms's to confirm it, so any help of you guys will be much appreciated. Come on tell us your sms/memory status.
Unfortunately I don't have now the inbox full, so I can't give you exact numbers. But I can tell you for sure that the phone starts complaining (something like "more than 95% memory full") when the SMS's only take something like 200kB. And if I checked the internal memory status I saw that I still had several 10's MB free. One should be able to store a huge amount of SMS's until filling up 10's of MB.
Hmmmmmmm, are you sure about that ?? I don't have lots of messages that fill up all the internal memory to confirm your post. I did however have the belief that the shared memory isn't splitted into small sections -one small section for each thing- from the manual, it says "text messages are saved in the phone memory, when the phone memory is full, you must delete messages or move them to the SIM card to be able to receive new messages", what I did understand from that is that it has no limited portion in the shared memory and that it can actually be full of just text messages, am I right in this understanding ?? Anyway plez confirm it, how many messages are in your inbox -only inbox- folder ?? and how many MB's free in your internal memory ?? and what does it says when you receive a new text message ??
Thanks in advance.
I think that your comment regarding the SMS storage is not true. K750 has a rather large internal (shared) memory (38MB), but only a very small fraction can be used for the SMS's (several 100 kB). This is rather annoying and I don't know if there is a way to avoid it.
1st of all I'de like to thank you very much for your appreciation, I'm flattered :).
It's not that hard to do what I'm doing, I log online a lot and writing an answer/opinion I'm sure about isn't a big thing. You read a question, the answer pop up in your head, you write it down, simply. I have the device for about 2-3 months now and I really take my time to learn everything in/about any new thing I get.
All in all I believe that what I'm doing here is a way of helping me to know more about my device, sometimes one would ask a question about a feature which I'm not familliar with which pushes me to search about it and read the manual fopr it which ends in better understanding of my mobile.
For your questions, if you're using it a lot then it's very normal to have it slower with the time, restarting is a good thing, I do it myself but what ?? A coloured screen ?? Now here is a new thing for me, it's definitely a software issue, listen as long as it's not about your device camera, flasher, keybad, joystick, screen, keys, memory stick and usb/charger port then it's 100% a software issue. I suggest you taking it to your customer care center and have its entire software replaced -not only upgraded-.
For the camera, it's very normal to take about 1 second to focus and another second to capture the pic, if it takes long time in focusing or capturing then it's something bad, customer care center will be mentioned again. As for time taken to allow you to take another pic I tell you it's very normal, it takes about 2 seconds max to save a pic especially if the highest resolution is used when the memory -the one you've choosed to save on whether it's the internal memory or the meory stick- is full, try to free some space hence the saving time will decresed, but if the memory is already free yet it takes sometime to save the pic, if using the memory stick just copy its content in your pc and perform a full format to it, that will speed it up, but if using the internal memory and it has free space yet it takes longer than 3 seconds to save then this is not normal - I think we are talking about a faulty device in here-.
For the sms's, well the phone saves the received sms's in its internal memory not in the memory stick so you can save as many as you can till its internal memory is full, check the phone memory and you'll find it full that's why it says 95% full. That's about the sms's in the Inbox folder, but if you're talking about the sms's in the Saved messages folder then I tell you that sms's in this folder are saved in your SIM card, neither in the phone internal memory nor in the memory stick.
What is smart cover ?? !!
Well my keybad is very fine to me, it's strong enough yet very sensitive and very stable & even it's tick is not heard at all though you can feel it under your finger.
Hope my answers would help you.
thanx for all your replies. (i wonder how come you have such patience and such good info about this phone!).
asking 2 quick questions:
1- my phone (just 3 weeks old) sometimes goes very very slow.. i switch if off and start it and then it seems fine. sometimes a coloured screen comes indicating something like hanging of software.. then also i switch off and restart. is it something to do with software or the hardware or memory fill (though its only 20% fill now).
2- The camera is good, but it takes a few seconds to click a photo and then wait for a while before am able to click next one.. is it the case with every sek750i..
3- a very basic question, how many sms can i save - i have some 125 and it says 95% full, while the memory still is only 20%.
Long back I had read in this forum about a smart cover only for this phone. Can someone tell me about that. thanx..
finally an opinion/observation - the key pad of this phone if bad.. not stable at all..
overall a good phone.
thanx to @DoUL for all his replies..
There is no K750. It has to be K750i for international version or K750c for chinese version.
Nothing, just wander between the reviews and see other models, maybe one attracts you even more than SE K750i or Nokia 6270.
No, I don't really think that it's worth buying W800i rather than K750i, the only differences are the colur, the design -keybad and camera cover- and an option in the software that allows you to reach the media pleyer and play MP3 while the device is turned off as a phone, other than that they are basically & totally the same.
As for your questioning about why SE design a totall matched phone with another one in their line-up, I actually don't know, you don't know what is in their heads, maybe it's their way to do marketing tricks.
Good God man. Geez. You had a hardware working without any problems for about 5 months and when it dies you curse the whole company. I've never seen any childish reaction like yours before. Everything has a dead end that has to reach it sooner or later, maybe your luck drove you to have a faulty bluetooth headset, but don't curse SE because your headset died on you. And the software designer/writer wasn't dumb when your headset was working and when it died suddenly became so dumb !!! Be fair.
You can choose your own melody to be your SMS tone whether it is a midi or a MP3 instead of the default short tones, but it won't repeat itself either -too bad- but atleast it will be long enough to inform you that you got a SMS.
For the other issue you have, I don't know about it, I won't tell you to upgrade your firmware or send the device to customer care for you have to be done so as long as you find any problem in your device.
Guys, errors do/must happen, nothing is perfect/complete, but search for the cause of the error and try to solve it instead of crying beside it. You could have a faulty device -that happens- every production line in any factory has a faulty percentage no matter how big/advanced that factory is.
Use your head and start to learn when and how to react instead of using the easy one of cursing and dumbing.
this might be a silly question, however, what is the difference between SEK750 and SEK750i?
Read the reviews...
Anyways...i think SE k750i could've done better with message tones... too short... and can't repeat it self...
occasionally the MP3 player stops for no reason... but overall it's an excellent phone compared to other digital camera wannabes.
I bought my 750i and a bluetooth Headset HBH-662 about 5 months ago. The bluetooth just die on me a week ago. Doesn't work anymore.
The phone, the software keep freezing and drop the call. Who ever wrote the software is so dump! take forever to search for signal strenth and the software freeze when there is no signal. I had Samsung, Motorola, Nokia cell before now I tried Sony Ericsson and see how well the signal compare with other brand. I give it a 2 out of 10. Never buy Sony Ericsson product again forever!! S.E Sux!!!!
Yes, I really look forward to the review. I just hope it comes out in good time before christmas. But what can you do else than wait...?
No man, I don't work for SE, in fact I'm not working in mobiles industry at all, I'm a software engineering ;).
About the visual radio name, I know what it means, I know what it does, the technology is named RDS or Radio Data System, I can see that you're familiar with. If you checked K750i specifications you will find it there just as simple as it has to be -Radio with RDS- no fancy names used. You don't need to use fancy names to descripe the features which you support/have, it's just there go and use it.
For the camera & firmware, you're right, who knows ?? But for myself I don't believe any thing posted by the manufacturer -even SE- I only trust sites/users reviews to tell the truth about every part of the device, I even remember some forums said something about N90 pics that were published by nokia before its official release that it's been through some tweaking to look clearer, don't totally trust what you see unless it's confirmed by regular users.
I've always been seeing what Nokia do as fooling around with the customers not marketing, the technology is RDS not VRS and do you remember Carl Zeiss optics used in N90, and saying it's a top-notch state-of-the-art lens that you have to be proud to pay around 1000 euros to own it, and the result are pictures less in quality than K750i which costs around 350 euros, I call this fooling no matter what you say/believe -it's my personal point of view-.
Anyway if you aren't in a rush just wait for 6270 and who knows, really.
Well, you certainly seem to know what you are talking about. You work for SE or what?
Lets start from what you said about the stereo speakers: No, I am not planning to use the phone as the main music source at my birthday party (if I decide to get it), more like a option for listening to music with my friends at close distance.
About Visual Radio: The benefits compared to a normal radio is that you can see what song is played on your mobile display etc. Unfortunately the fact is that quite few radio stations support the service, but when/if they do, I find the service rather handy.
About "fooling techniques with shiny marketing names" (for example Visual Radio): Thats called marketing, everybody does it.
About the camera: I believe 100% that it is better in the K750 than in the 6270 but is the difference really that revolutionary? I saw the night pics (pitch black aswell) in the N70 camera review and you could clearly see the thing photographed.
Ab out firmware: It can be updated and I have understood that it has been delayed so its quite a small chance that the new Series 40 has been made in a great haste. But who knows, right`
//Thank you for answering
