hey ive heard that from now new k750i will only be shipped in silver cuz the fw and hw of silver are more up-to-date than the the black ones..what du you think if that?!!
Helo k750i user, well, i just got my unit yesterday and i luv it very BUT, taking out the memory stick is really a big hassle, only those with long finger-nails would have it easy taking it out and another complain is listening to the radio via the handsfree, the connector isn't that well designed, slight tab/knock and the radio will shut-off thinking the handsfree has been taken off.
TheOne&OnlyDazz and Kamran:
thank u guys for the updates.. let me get that mp3 converter and start getting busy.=)
however, you know im just concerned about my phone being detected as w800, i'm just trying to convince myself that it's no big deal.. do you guys have any idea about the future problems that i might encounter with it?
hey watz up SE fans..am feeling your..i just got this fon and i must say i've been a SE fan for as long as i can remember and i've used a lot of other fons talk about the top of the pack when it comes to fon but the SE k750 is in a class of its own.yes it has it's set back like everything and everyone of us do but with it good side you don't nitic the little bad in it..so all you that come with putting the k750 down think again and be fair to yourself it's never you're able to get a fon with all that the k750 offers...thank God 4 SE team work on this we look forward to more....
Cool dj_ashtray, I'll try that on my W800 and see if it works on my K750
It's true, I've tried and It was succesful. I tried to play and use an .mp4 as ringtone on my w800 and it Worked. I just sent the song via Bluetooth and looked for it in media manager after I pushed the "more" option and it appeared the menu and It says: "Use as:" I selected ringtone. Sound is really great and loud, well in afew words
I'm not sure if this would be possible on k750, 'cos k700 was able to play it but not to use it as a ringtone, Perhaps this function isn't available in k series, or perhaps it's only not available in k700 (If anyone can Check it, pleez post it).
To all the w800/k750 users I suggest to convert your mp3 song to mp4 (not the fuc**ng AAC). The mp4 songs @ 64 kbps "almost" sounds as mp3 @ 128 kbps, It really isn't the same quality but it sound very good; we're saving the half of an mp3 file size. I use QuickTime Pro to do this 'cos I tried others converters but they all got a bad mp4 conversion. And pleez dont be confused about it, When you convert to Mp4 isn't necessary to be AAC, mp4 codec is different and it sounds much better than AAC. Just try it on QuickTime and you'll see the difference. ;-)
You guys got similar situation about detecting the phone by comp. as W800. I don't know why this happens. I guess there is a problem with the site, recognizing your phones as W800. What was the location you choosed when connecting the site to upgrade?
About music files, as TheOne&OnlyDazz said you should first convert files to MP3, then you can move/copy your MP3s either via "File manager" which you installed from PC Suite CD or easily through "My Computer \Removable Disk \MP3". When you put files in MP3 folder which is already present in your mem. stick, the the phone's "Media Player" automatically recognizes them.
anyone know what that symbol is? it can't mean gprs because gprs is the 'G' and a little tower.
@ butch *HOW TO PUT SONGS IN THE PHONE*-
Hey, everyone! (again) :-) Some people are asking how to put music into the Sony Ericsson K750. First you need to download or install a MP3 converter(To convert your songs into MP3 format). -For smart computer people you can convert it to MP3 format in the Windows Media Player(when ripping from a cd)-. Then install the software that came with the phone. Once you install the software, you will see "Sony Ericsson File Manager"- Then open your MP3 songs from your computer (go to "My Computer" and get/open your songs)*FROM YOUR PHONE CREATE A FOLDER FROM THE FILE MANAGER IN YOUR PHONE- I NAMED MINE "My Mp3s"* -Then connect your phone- Then open the "Sony Ericsson File Manager" and find the folder you just made. Now you just drag and drop the songs you want. MAKE SURE IT IS ON MP3 FORMAT *IF NOT* IT WILL NOT WORK.
i am really debating on whether to get the k750 or the samsung d600. i really like the features of both the phones. the feature thats making me lean towards the d600 is the file viewer and the TV output. does the k750 have any features that can compete? also...is there anything i missed that would put the k750 over the d600?
Still have no sighnal on my phone cant figure out how to update anything please help....before i think about selling this great phone.
Just got the phone yesterday for my sister, but before i could give it to her curiosity got over me; i made a master reset and lost some contents, could someone please mail me the demo tour video of the phone and the world software clock application to my e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org, thanks to wherever you are, you would save a day for me :D
----well u can send java applications/games etc through a Bluetooth device and when ur phone will recieve it, it will automatically recognise the file and will store it in the right folder. However if u use the usb cable(included in the k750i pack) then open the memory card in ur computer after connecting the usb cable with ur pc and pick the games and drop them in the "Other folder" now dc the usb cable and from ur phone open the other folder and click on the game file and the phone will install it in the games folder.. :-)..tc dude
