and also is the phone performing better after the new firmware update?
hi, iam thinking of buying the phoneCan u exchange the cover if any damage occurs to it? is the silver one available?
could anyone b kind 2 tell me what "edge" mean? I simply don't know so don't even think about calling me stupid. what technology is it? something with wich nokia could win over SE?
Well I am a profound Nokia user, Just wanted to try 750i, available at 380 USD in Pakistan anyhow i was really delicious, I threw away 6230i Nokia for which I even got a MMC 256MB , SE 750i has better shape, size ans same wt, excellent camera with average video but everything is very well oriented , Duo Sticks are a bit costly but better to put in and out, also we can see a few txt, doc and word documents a serious flaw in new Nokia 6230i, flash light is an advantage, battery time okay, reception very equal to Nokia and somtimes better but I would give full marks to SAMSUNG D500 in that aspect, coming back SE750i comes with 64mb Duo card and Pro Duo Cards can also be used. one small flaw MP3 via speaker are bit down on volume but brilliant via headset. 1 or 2 buttons too many on this SE, Joystick is the best in the business, Screen rocks, Bluetooth fastest I have got as yet, Keep it up SE, Nokia please get a better and LIGHTER design department, Thanks
bad bad fone got one fron voda two days ago keeps crashing during calls, cant recieve mms, bluetooth does not work ,cant connect to vodafone live, only plus is the cam which i have to say is great but saying that gonna take mine back just dont know what fone to get now maybe sharp 902 any suggestions?
Because remember, sensors arn't the only thing that makes a camera better! So if another new phone in Novemeber has a CMOS sensor in it and the K750 has a CCD sensor, the new one which is in November could beat it even if it is still 2MP, it could beat it because of the other things that make a camera good would be improved! And hopefully that will eb the case as I am sure you will have betetr quality camera phones by then I hope!
But it is amazing how it has moved on! I still have an old SE T610 but have other phone too but the SE T610 came out 2Q of 2003 and now 2 years later we almost have as good phones as proper digital cameras! Well I know we still have a bit to go but another year or 2 years time cameras phones will be just as good as a normal camera!
hamster87my: No I don't think there is any point waiting for it to come out as by then SE or hopefully Nokia will have a better camera at 3MP or something like that and even if it has a CMOS or CCD sensor in it, it will be a better camera phone than the K750 even if the K750 will have a CCD sensor in it!
To update the firmware do as Tommy said: http://www.sonyericsson.com/sp..._1&pid=10242
That is the link to Sony Ericssons support center where there are instructions on how to download the new firmware. The page is also available in different languages too.
lostmaker: I still thought you could transfer files as it is a direct link and to transfer files from your pc and you phone! It might be a fault!
kiril: The Sony Ericsson K750 has a lot better camera than the Nokia6630! This whole phone is better except is doesn't have dge, 3G and a few other things and could have a few improvments but this phone is a lot better than the Nokia 6630! The camera is the best out and what you can get on a phone along with the Nokia N90! The only rubbish thing about the best camera on the Nokia N90 and this phone is the resolution is only 2MP but the Nokia 6630 is 1.3MP, even worse! Just try comparing photo's taken with the Nokia 6630 and this phone and you must see the difference in quality which is better on the this phone! If you cannot see the difference, I recommend you go and see a doctor!
mike: Yes I would sell the Nokia and get this if you do not need Edge for fast internet and 3G (UTMS) as the camera on this phone is a lot better and the MP3 player is better plus I mostly go for Nokia software but the Nokia 6230i one wasn't so good so out of those two phones I would have the Sony Ericsson K750 and sell the Nokia if you can or take it back if you have the recipt and that the phone is still in mint condition they should let you swap it to the Sony Ericsson K750! And if this phone is cheaper they should pay you back the difference or it could be the other way round lol!
I will keep answering all your questions as soon as I can!
sorry, what I mean is CMOS...
and will it be worth waiting for CCD to come out in NOV?
what is meant by CMOD's photos have a lot of noise? does this mean that when taking photos, the phone will create loud noises or it's just about the quality of the photos which look noisy?
Right god, there has been quite a lot for me to deel with but first this is to:
erdem: Right basickly CCD are better in picture quality as CMOS have more noise and CCD picks up more detail, but CMOS are smaller and don't use as much power! And when you gave us the link to that forum they said the CCD was better in detail than the CMOS but just said there is no point waiting for this phone to upgrade to a CCD so just get the CMOS version but doesn't mean that CMOS are better! So it is still true, CCd are betetr than CMOS in picture quality and thats what matters for people who want good night pictures! Also your last review just said the same as what I have said for ages since Tommy corrected me that CCD is betetr and it is true! The other paragraph you wrote on your post said CCd have less noise but are bigger and use more power and that CMOS use less power and is smaller and has more noise!! CCD are better! Because I don't think you read it all properly as you said see CMOS are betetr when clearly it isn't! I will answer the next questions on another post!
That was tried. Last night I updated the firmware and shifted teh 750 through every combination of timezones to see if any go the offset right. This morning it all seems OK, new appts are synching with correct dates and times. Weird.
I intend to buy this phone soon, and i'm experiencing difficulty in finding the right site to do that from. Can anyone please reccomend me what could be the best choice? please email me or post here
Tommy, can u space out the address coz we can't click on the link tht u put, protected by gsm arena.
A far better improvement over it's elder brother the SE K700. Props to SE and PROPS to anyone who buys it. It's about $400, but if you know the right place you can get for under $350!
I have not tried to update the firmware myself as there is no problem with my current firmware. My phone doesn't hang or anything.
As to your problems, nearly everybody is experiencing them. Please have a look at esato.com as the people there know alot about Sony Ericsson phones.
This topic is good but it is fairly long so you will have to do alot of reading:
Hope this helps
I was hypothesising, don't get my K750 until next week. I'd be suprised if either the phone or the USB driver has the functionality to selectively turn off the charging function, never seen this capability in a phone before.
Hassan, if u whant performance & overall stability go nokia, for multimedia & small form & design go SE. I have 6230i and i whant 2 sell it, dosn't worth the money, i'll go k750 as soon as i can.
