Had mine a couple of days now.
Really great looking phone, i was surprised how small it actually is.
Ive always had nokias as there so easy to use but ive got use to this in no time and the features on it are really good.
Regarding the volume when your speaking to someone its quieter than my 6230 but i feel its not unbearingly low.
Ive had no major problems with it yet, touch wood.
The only scramble ive had is like when sometimes im browsing the pictures and the screen goes all fuzzy for like a second. Thats happened a couple of times.
When ive taken a couple of pics outside too sometimes the pics go really white (hard to explain) but then other times its ok, so i dont know what thats about.
All in all thought i think its a great phone.
reece ,,u must have had a faulty phone...mine work's no prolem the internet and picture's..i got mine from the carphonewarehouse and with o2 its not a locked phone and hasnt had nothing done to it.they get them straight from SE ..but mine work's fine if i was u go bk and get it from the carphonewarehouse...
This actually related to the K750i, I belive that there is actually not that much difference !
I had been an orange customer for the last 3 years and decided to give 02 a chance because they offered a better deal. I am a "nokia" boy at heart but decided to go for something different, the phone was great, apart from I could not connect to the internet, receive or send picture messages. I contacted 02, who sent the download to my phone several times, it didn't work, I was then told on my 4th call to 02 that they could not properly support these phones yet, so whyt are they sending them out ??? . I was told to contact sony errickson, they did the down load and that still didn't work either ! :-(.I was promised a call on friday from 02 to resolve this, I never got one, so yesterday I decided to send it back, gutted, it's a great phone ......... if you coudl get the functions working on it !
Thanks to everyone for their input, very annoying of vodafone! I will be paying them a visit at lunch time. I no longer want the contract, I guess I am stuck with it though.
I have just tried it out on a friends K750 from O2 the function does works with it.
ell1976 .. the way you are doing it is the long way and storing it to the phone...when u plug the phone in u will see a search thing come up on the pc..after that go tp my computer,on the will be another drive mine is a f drive..click on that then there is two folder's go to the right hand one, then u should see images music ect...click on the music one or it might be ringtone's,then there will be a empty folder or you have to do now see go to where your music is and copy and paste to that folder very easy and fast..hope that help's if not let me no..
Den, I used the software that came with the phone. Went a part of that software, Copied my track into this software and then hit download. It showed as downloading on PC and recieving MMP or something like that on the phone. Then it showed up in the message template? is there another to download MP3's then. A guy I work with has suggested getting a blue tooth to plug into my PC? HELP (excuse my stupidness but this first phone I had with this much ability)
ell1976 ...have u downloaded it or put it on as a mp3 from the pc??u can use it as a ring tone but if u have downloaded it i havent as of yet downloaded any...can u move the song or has it a option for more??funny it's gone into template's..
Vodafone have installed their own software which includes digital rights management - this is what is preventing the use of mp3's as ringtones. Something to do with stopping breach of copyright through file sharing.
Coupled with Vodafones 'exclusive' silver handset (not as nice as the black one in my opinion), they convinced me to change networks!!
Dolius,Si,Den - Thanks for your info, I have got as far as finding the downloaded tune in MESSAGE TEMPLATE of all places? Is it now possible to convert this to a ring tone? I am on o2.
Vodafone has blocked the ability to use mp3 files as ringtones. I have a vodafone branded k700i and the mp3 ringtone function is disabled.
B,,i heard that vodafone had stopped people using mp3 as ring tone's on there phone..no idea why tho...
Thanks for your pointer, that's exactly what I thought, but it wont work. ODD. Using your method the mp3 does not appear as a tone, if I browse to the ringtones folder from "my items" in the menu, the mp3 appears but the option to set as ringtone is greyed out...
I got my phone on contract from vodafone, I'm wondering if they have disabled the option from within the software.
Anyone else got this prob with other networks ?
