Hi AWa9 could you tell me a samsung or nokia phone that is using 240*320 resolution in aprox.2inches screen .

when does this phone come out in the uk? i have been thinking about getting a d500 but this phone looks so much better! i don't know how long i can wait!

The W800 is a better phone because of the 'walkman' functionality. But there is little difference other than that. I also prefer the styling of the W800, but it's just a matter of taste. Having said that the K750 will be out much sooner!

WOW SE really have out dont themselbves this time. 2MP camera phone, i have to say i thought the picture quality of the s700 was good but i cant wait to see what this ones like. I loved my t610 but it was just lacking a few things like a good camera and expandable memory, however im gonna get this phone for sure. It due out in a week or two aswell. lol and nokia have only got up to 1.3mp.

1 - EDGE sucks (in W Europe at least)
2 - SE will launch at least 2 UIQ phones soon, compare them to your beloved s60īs
3 - Even without UIQ these new SE kick but to almost every living blokia, thatīs a fact eh eh

Hey this ones for sony ericsson guys.If u put a Symbian OS in phones like K750,W800,then SE will dominate the cell phone market for atleast the future 10 yrs leaving behind manufacturers like Nokia way behind.SO SONY ERICSSON ,Anybody listenin!No offence,just a friendly tip.BTW this phone rocks!

In design point of view, I love this phone more but w800 has more tech that makes me confuse to choose between the two. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

It uses Sony Ericsson's own OS, which is very powerful with lots of built in features and capabilities which S60 users would have to download. Also take note that S60 phones are all so much larger than the K750 in comparison with size and weight.
About screen resolution, at 1.8" 176x220 is already very high. Putting something better would make the cost even higher (look at the S700).
And kdude, very Nokia Fanboy post you have there. Again, stop whining about EDGE, only Nokia is taking EDGE seriously. Most other brands have stopped with EDGE as 3G is rolling out. Look at Motorola, all 3G phones, SE is also following the same trend, 3G, as it's already tried and tested in many countries. Even Malaysia, you have EDGE supported by DiGi, but 3G will be supported by Maxis and Celcom which already show which would gain more publicity.

Nokia's got a massive screen with the 7710 if that's what your point is...
and samsung do use 320x240...
and the other thing is the size of the screen must be compatible with the resolution capable!!!! 320x240 is perfect for 2.2" displaces, but 2.4 and bigger will just screw up... 176x 220 is still acceptatble for the k750 and its size

Hi everyone,i think that none realises the importance of screen resolution .For those who really know about mobiles ,screen resolution is the most important.I have heard for example someone complaining why SE hasn't put to it's new phone aresolution of 240*320 and someone else replying him that if he wants larger screen find it in S700.This is a terrible mistake and everybody should understand it .The amount of pixels is how much clear and native the screen is . Of course the size plays some role because if you go and put 176*220 resoluton to a tiny screen it will be as bright as the one of a larger screen with 240*320 but if you have two same sized screens and the one has 240 320 resolution while the other 176 220 you will see a huge inredibly diffrent result.Take for example sharp gx30 its screen looks great because of its resolution although in general i dont like shrp's .Consider also that an 480*640 camera with a three MP camera will produce exactly the same pictures in the same resoluton of screen ex.240*320 only in yopur computer you will find the difference. Guys the most imporatnt thing is screen resoluton and buy nothing else but 240*320 that the real new generation phone tis is something that makes real difference in many aspects of the phone .A good phone is motorola e1120 but moto hasn't got nice menus wait until nokia or samsung release a 240 *320 screen.
