I work for vodafone and cannot get any release date on this. Just wondering if anyone knew? They announced it in Feb, its not April soon to be May and still no word? Ive had a SPV C500 for the last 2years-ish and never thought I'd find a good enough fone to change. However this on is it, it looks sexy, excellent quality camera, the only thing I need to know, apart from when its coming out, is can you get msn messenger on this fone? (dont laugh, i have to have it...)

i think this fone will be world hit......SE have been making quality products unlike nokia ....which has been losing its share in the mobile market due to SE's excellent produvts at affordable prices ..i wudnt be surprised if they released K790 at the same price as tht of N91.....

Anyone know when it is going to be launched ?
Are they going to ship with M2 card & handsfree
Will the video shoot at 30 fps instead of 15 fps.
I request SONY to launch with above

SE has to shy away with,same monotonus interface and ugly fonts.Secondaly the centrebutton for side movemnt gets unresposive by time and delay action irritates u. Se should intro optical zoom n cams that increased MP which is farce,SE Memorycards r still expensive they should intro nonbranded as n playstations Thx.....

sorry about the name mistake Babdi...and about the 790 joystick..on mobile-review.com..they said dat the sony engineers have reworked da design a bit so now it wont start malfunctioning cuz o dust.

To begin with SonyEricsson does not believe in "Also Ran".Its like a "Maybach" or a "Rolls Royce" amongst phones. Maybachs & Rolls Royces are not "run of the mill" production stuff. SonyEricsson falls in this category. It is better to produce few quality phones instead of churning out and launching "bugged" phones evry month.
As said earlier quality has a price and that is time. Take any elite product. One wont find the quality in things made in a hurry

well SJ providing support maybe the nokia weakness in some places but thanks god its not here. i have own se ericsson phones (recently the w600i) and i know by experience SE are that qualitative either. and the support its so good. the n80 when its comming out probably will have it problems but same will be with the k800/790 too, thats with all the brands. my complain is that people say this phone its the best phone and its just one of most featured still their features are not max for today even they are close. and it lacks of design and originality, all sony ericsson phones are starting to look alike even their portafolio its so small.

well, well talk about phones today and which one is the one. i cant say that but i can say that 3.2mp is good but not so good to buy the phone for that raesson. what is the video resolution i heard something like 320*240 but that is nothing samsung had that for a good time now. i am sonyericsson fan but not longer. joystick is terrible. im going for samsung now even nokia lost it but check nokia resolution 640*480 for video capture. to much marketing bull shit one small feature and new phone for every label not just sony. the greatest thing on this phone is picturestabilisator. thats it

Once SE 790i is launched ( dont know when ) SE critics will start pondering why they made the mistake of criticising SE 790i.
The Euphoria that SE phones are second rated will vanish. SonyEricsson must be laughing quietly at all the hullabullah thats raised in this forum about 790i.
Yes SE should take a serious note of good & constructive viwes and suggestionsform this forum and apply them before the phone is
released.
I trust SonyEricsson keeps an eye on this forum

The best overall available nokia s are the 6682 and the 6270 ,the n series as low talktime
BUT ho cares look at the nokia E70 with black berry conectivity wifi,voip,wlan,3G,edge,2mp cam,symbian os 16M colors crean !!! I think that the E70 is better than the p990 for alot of reasons forget abote the n-serises the E series is the best. and if you whant one of the best 3.2 mp phone it's the k790 and we will have a version for north america all it neads is tv out

Oh no, oh no it has the same joystick as the K750. Don't buy it people, i used my K750's joystick very gently all over the time and now it's almost dead. I'm going to get a new one. A big dissapointment for me. If only K790 had W810's joystick... :-

I believe the micro memory stick works the same way as the mini SD, in the sense that there will be adaptors available to use it in devices that take the "regular" memory stick, but since devices that are specifically for micro memory stick have a small slot for it, there is no way to use a "regular" memory stick
