No, i dont think this is virtual radio which u can install in 6680,6630 etc.....it is real FM radio, like in K750,K700,nokia 3230,6230i etc.... though i dunno what rds is......but this one should be FM radio....not virtual radio which u hav to use GPRS to access..

I wish SonyEricsson stops K790 & instead add the EDGE in K800 with 30 fps video shoot speed. It would be simple for them and will save logistics and can meet N80 head on. Hows that..!
SonyEricsson are you listening

Between k800 and k790 ...i'd choose k790..cause' ..the other one has 3g ! i don't use it a lot ! in fact there are few people who use this option :) that's my choice..

it would have been better if they change the joystick with a navigation pad instead.. btw, check this out new (concept?!) phone from SE! it has a 4mpx camera! quite good..

Timos (sorry I spelled the name wrong in the previous post),

Another thing to keep in mind is the battery life. If you are considering the N80 against the K790, you really need to keep in mind that the N80 has a 3 hour talk time versuses a 7 hour talk time on the K790. If you plan on using apps, the N80 probably won't be your best chose because the apps are going to drain the battery pretty quickly. Of course, people are also going to argue the Xenon flash will do the same thing on the K790. That is why I say, do the research, and think about what you are going to use the phone for. No matter how many features a phone has, if you can't really use it (because the battery isn't strong enough, or you can't use your apps, etc.), what use is it?

Tamos,

K790, from what I remember, can only use Java based apps.

As for your comments about the Nokia charger, I talked to a "representative" at one of the Nokia kiosks in the mall, and he said that the chargers will be changing, so old Nokia chargers won't work on the new Nokia phones that are coming out (I didn't ask for details, but I know the plug that connects the charger with the phone is a different size, I'm not sure about the voltage).

OK.. question... I'm a nokia user.. my 1st phone was a nokia and i've been using their smartphones eversince.. can i install stuff on this phone? SE has great looks, and i'm thinking i might wanna get an SE phone, just for it's looks and features but will this K790 allow me to install apps? also is it user friendly? the only problem i'll face will be the charger.. over the years i've gotten about 15 Nokia chargers and they're like all over the house :D well if all's well, i might just make the switch. all depends on the os and apps and stuff. thanks in advance to whosoever answers me. :)

While I can afford the $400-$500 range, I hope Cingular will pick the K790a when it comes out (it isn't even in the America section of the SE website yet), so I can get some kind of rebate (hopefully at least a hundred dollars off). Since I don't travel much out side of the country, I have no real need for an unlocked phone.
