know what?? the only good thing in this phone is it's camera.. i once owned a 6233 and compared to their sounds 6233 loudness is compared to k800i's max volume twiced!! i mean the max wolume of the k800i is just the half volume of 6233.. to all those music lovers,, just go for 5300 or 6233 for Nokia brands,, and w850i or w660 for SE.. but the camera of this phone rocks.. take photos anytime,anywhere..

This was won the phone of the year last year. It was fantastic and even overcame competition from the Nokia N73 to claim to right the throne. But, today i went into vodafone. They are selling this baby for £80 on clearance! and yet they are selling the nokia n73 for £250. i just understand as their specs are pretty much identical.
I had the same thing with a k750.
Fortunately for me, i had warranty and i received a new one.
Your phone had a circuit failure.
It's totally damaged.
I wish you more luck with some other se phone.
SE phone's are the best!
good sound quality, nice photos, elegant design..SE k800i is a true winner..
I wrote the long comment with the 4 problems i listed. Yes, i just recieved a call that the phone has been fixed. But it costed me money and the hassle of passing the phone onto someone else to take overseas for me.
Just can't be bothered with that bulls$&^ anymore aye....
But yeah, i must say i enjoyed every moment of the phone when it worked!!
anyone ever heard of a sony ericsson tv remote control? does this realy exisits?
DESPERATE. I had my K800i for about 18 months and suddenly I can't turn the phone on. The battery icon is not appearing when I tried to charge it. It is completely dead. The battery seems ok when I used it with another SE phone. I used another battery with K800i but nothing. I tried to clean connectors but nothing again. I noticed a red lamb flashing inside the infrared when I pushed the turn on button. Anybody can help me.
I luv SE just got the K800 for its camera, been using the w580 which totally rocks! BUT vodafone branded the k800 and did somethin wierd to internet and submenu key.... so not right
the phone is very good but the joystick make mistakes and doesn't response enough
I have been using K800i for 10 months now & it never let me down. The fact that is HSCSD compatible makes it worse cause the speed that I connect/download with, is fabulous.
If you want to see pictures taken by this phone go on - http://flickr.com/photos/david...94320424567/
Theres lots. For a camera phone tehe quality is amazing!
I'm planning to buy this phone, does it have a USB cable to connect to the computer, to put photos on?
i just want to ask : what's better se k800 or se t650?? i'm so confused because i heard that the SAR level is very high but on the other hand the k800 is very thick...!!! so what's better especially in terms of picture capturing and sound..tnx
to the person down below
those problems are Minor and can be Fixed !
K800i is still the BEST PHONE ....
There are many problems with this phone:
1. Joystick becomes a hassle after a while. It gets harder to push...maybe it's the dust that gets in the way between the little gaps...but it's a pain.
2. Don't bother with any software updates! They'r pointless and just messes up your phone.
3. i've experienced the "white flash of death" 3 times within 2 months of getting the phone. Had to get it fixed many times overseas which was a hassle
4. i turned the phone off one time and when i turned it back on again, the Sony Ericsson start-up screen just stayed there....wouldn't go to the normal menu screen so i've given up taking it to fix...just gonna get another phone now.
With that said, The phone has superb camera quality. The Video recording is a bit fuzzy but can't complain...I think that's the only good attribute about the phone.
Remember, you better load any photos onto your computer straight away if you don't want to loose any of them when your phone messes up like mine did...i lost some good concert photos...:-(
