The K800i is an excellent quality handset with a wide range of features in addition to its award winning camera in a very well built casing. One of the best Java based feature phones ever made. And now that it is on offer for under £100 on pre-pay or around £120 sim free it represents a real bargain. Remember that this was Sony Ericsson's flagship. Additionally you can give this device smartphone type features. By installing Opera Mini 4.1 you get excellent browsing and by setting up a gmail account and viewing it on the K800i you can view office files if they are attachments to emails. Finally, the build quality should ensure this device is a good long lasting investment. Many people return to this phone even after buying slightly newer mobiles. Highly recommended.

I have had this phone for what seems like ages, apart from the odd rare freeze/crash which sorts itself straight out the phone has been reliable as anything, even though the thing has got wet a fair amount of times, its been dropped knocked and all sorts, apart from some scratches to the screen and the covering on the buttons showing a little wear the phone continues to do its job well and still takes great photos :) get one of these, stick a 4 Gb card in it and it does what you want, stores music, vid's, photos... oh text and make calls :)
I have never had any problems other than my text box getting full but saying that I have a habit of saving tons of messages (I have noted the K850 can store them to memory card which is good).
I think most people who have owned one of these would recomend it cause it does exactly what it says on the tin

I'm at the start of my seventh month with this phone (got it 25th Dec 2007) and have to say that overall I have been impressed. The sound quality is great on calls, speaker nice & loud & overall usability is great.
However I have found a few design faults with this that Sony have at least ironed out:
1. The Joystick can be a tempremental sod at times, however thankfully SE have all but done away with joysticks.
2. The lens cover is too loose, what I mean by this is that it can be easily & accidently knocked to the open position & you wouldn't know until the next time you take the phone out of your pocket.
3. The Internet & opposing shortcut buttons are too squashed in next to the softkeys & cancel/back buttons which is rather irritating seeing as you could be in the middle of a message only to accidently slip & hit one of these buttons.
4. The actual camera lens housing sitcks out unneccessarily resulting in the phone being rather bulky in you pocket.
Apart from these small gripes it is a rather good phone indeed, if your thinking of getting it go ahead, however the k810i has ironed out a few of the above problems (camera lens cover & buttons) but sadly still has the fiddly joystick.
8.5/10 from me :^D

> In reply to sourabh @ 2008-06-29 18:56 from 2S{9No these lines are not on the screen guard. ive removed the screen guard now. the lines appear and disappear during when i am operating the phone.
My question is, are these lines common in thin model or just my case? because if its a fault, i can ask for a replacement as the phone has 12 months warranty left. Thanks
