If you really think about it the sonyericsson k800i is the overall best mobile device out of the three.
Firstly for still images, the k800i produces the best images with the best contrast, colour and overall clarity. You would notice this better when you zoom into an image once you've taken it. It also incorporates a better macro mode for close up shots. Also bear in mind that sony (the parent company) has been making digital cameras for a very long time compared to nokia n73. Its sony's expertise that sonyericsson are using. This brings me onto my second point... Sony have also been producing mp3 players for a long time. The k800i produces a better music sound quality than the nokia and samsung. Also the k800i supports bluetooth stereo music (a2dp), as does the samsung, but the nokia still doesn't seem to. Thirdly, in terms of capacity, the Nokia can only support upto a 1Gb or 2Gb memory card. The k800i can support a 4Gb card! The interface on the k800i is much quicker, with better shortcut options (even in camera and music mode), and has additional clever items to improve the consumer experience. For example, there is a feature built in which allows you to update the software version of your phone to the latest version straight from sonyericsson. This option is usually used by sonyericsson to improve camera quality, menu quality, music quality and add additional features (K750i/W800i owners will know this - done from sonyericsson website). The software update function can now be carried out wirelessly through GPRS.

anybody know of any price cut coming soon for the k800. My guess is there will be a price cut after the intro of w850 which is due before the end of this month. Any opinion folks ?

Can you put the phone on silent when it rings and does this phone have a loudspeaker / speaker phone?

thanks jay for your answer =) nobody did answer my question before on any other site i visited nor the cell phone celler :P so thanks again. but just realize about the other question. any1 know if k800i with the latest firmware now support up to 1gb M2? as i suppose that's the largest M2 in the market right now.

y did gsmarena administrator delete my posting?! wat ve i done wrong here 2 deserve e deletion of posting??????? here, can somebody pls solve my problem? ve any1 (especially fm s'pore) w latest firmware update R1ED001 having msg sending problem? e device can only send single msg @ a time, no linked-msg is allowed. so far my own solution 2 e problem is 2 redirect 2 draft n send fm there. if i insist on retry fm outbox, recipient is going 2 rx 2 repeated msg. does any1 ve any idea of fixing e problem besides going 2 service centre? i've bad experience in repairing my fone so tis time i try 2 do things on my own. any1? would appreicate ur prompt ans. tx in advance!

Does this phone use the same kind of memory card as the W800i? I am thinking of getting this phone and using the memory card from my w800i in it. Also whats the screen like in bright sunshine as my w800i wasn't very clear? Cheers.

the sony ericsson k800 is one of the best camera phones to come out it is much better than the n80 camera it is really clear and the music quality is like w810i but better this phone is the best an i love it!!

my k800 can't receive incoming call and msg after sent a msg..
can only solve this by restart it..

it was totally no problem since it has updated the newest version yesterday..
but short-circuit again this afternoon..

then i've to call it by another phone every 5min, to make sure it's in normal status..

tired..

Omg, is there anyway to update the firmware without paying any fees? Will SE update it for you online for free just like Nokia..?

CALL LOG ISSUE: it is fixed with the latest firmware.

THEO: latest firmware is R1ED001 MR1 (master release 1)

JIN: yes Wotan is fee based (7 euro). and no you don't have the latest firmware. the latest is R1ED001 MR1, which i have.

Wotan releases new firmware before SE does.

TEW: you can update to traditional chinese if you flash your phone with the latest firmware by selecting it in the language options.

EVERYONE: go to wotanserver.com to update firmware (which fixes the bugs)/ debrand phone/ turn off camera sound/ increase SMS storage/ update EROM.

i'm also having troubles with call logs...not registering missed calls etc...when i first got it it did register those things but now it doesn't and i didn't change any settings

Hello,

I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP! I JUST bought this phone, and made the mistake of plugging it in without inserting the battery into the phone, will this have ANY impact on the phone. I plugged the phone in, the screen turned white and then it turned off...I then put in the battery, and it began charging normally..I have kept it charging for the recommended 10-12 hours, and it looks fine. But will this have ANY impact on the overal performance of the phone? Someone please email me, and advise on what i should do...

can someone please say what is the best lens in digital camera? is it Canon Zoom, Leica Lumix, Carl-Zeiss, or Scheider? and can anyone please arrange thos lens from best to most inferior level? hope someone replies...

It was hard to find a good phone that has good reception. I have gone though 4 phones in a year due to bad reception and this phone hasn't let me down yet.

The power life isnt to bad on it however it coud last longer though.

One of the things that stand out is that you can run multi applications at once eg. listen to MP3's or listen to the radio, while playing game or doing what ever you need to do.

Overall it's a good phone and all applications run quickly also the camera isnt too bad on it.

i wonder if the language for both system and text include chinese(traditional). i know it's possible to get 1 with it in chinese country or website but i am in U.S. and it's cost more to get 1 on chinese website
