K,

You can set the wallpaper to fill the screen. When choosing the picture to set as wallpaper, there is an option that says maximise which fills the screen out by cropping the edges off it.

thks for explanations Jen. In fact most imprortant think is for me speaker quality. As u know there is not good in k800 even sometimes you can not hear the person who call u in crowded. So you say it is better and you cane hear clearly the person who calling you as well. Thks then now ı decided to buy this phone:)

I find the joystick really easy to use, slightly lower than others but fine.

speaker on phone calls is fine, loud speaker is a bit quiet and lacks a bit of bass

i only have the phone in bag and the lens cover hasnt opened yet.

battery life is brill - my phone has taken a hammering and still lasted about 3 or 4 days

screen is clear, just prone to finger print marks

hope this helps - personally i think it is a good phone

Hi everybody, I'm badly wanna buy this phone soon but first, I need to know somethings. I'd really appreciate it if someone answers my questions.

1) using the joystick easy or difficult?

2) How loud and clear is the speaker sound on this phone ? (can u hear person who you speak in crowded clearly or speaker loud is less than other phones)

3)how is the lens cover ? (is it open in pocket easly like k800 or better)

4) how is the battery life and screen quality?

Thanks to those who help:)

When you set a picture to wallpaper does it fill the whole screen or just a partial of it(centered) like the nokia N73??

I really like the K810i. The photocamera is awesome! The best i have seen so far! But to bad the video quality (QCIF) is so bad compared to the photocamera. And the screen is very stain attractive

I changed my James Bond version SE K800 for my new SE K810 yesterday. Having read in the review that those already having a K800 need not change their set for this one, I thought for once that if I did the right thing. But now after one day of its use I can safely say that it was a wise decision.
I knew there was no difference in terms of functionality of both models, but the difference lies in aesthetics. This new K810 has a totally new and proportionate feel to it, its just like having a new slim, proportionate and presentable girl friend from the one who had undesirable fat at various parts.
So if you are the one with a sense of aesthetics, go for it, even otherwise, except for CIF video it has no other drawback and it tops all mobiles. There is hardly any other function that does not satisfy you, and SE are on a roll, the new T650, I think that would be an awesome phone. I wish SE improve the video functionality in that.
ALL IN ALL A GREAT PHONE!
NO COMPETITOR!!!!

good phone, bad video

still looks better than the brick nokia n95

what k810 needs is a VGA, not a QCIF

well the SE is definately agreat phone..i personally have one..and i must say i am very impressed at its performance like camera, screen and the workmanship of the phone..but i jus hate the fact that the video formate is 3GP...its so hard to find the codec converter..pls advise a site to get a free converter that is of some good rather than all those crapy trial versions..but im v impressed at how SE totally redesigned the phone..it now has a very elegant look to it..on the whole its a hell of a phone...thanks....and if any kind samaritan could tell me the site of the free converter that not a trial but a quality one instead and email it me..thank you..

i think you should know that megapixel does not define better image quality:)

try looking at mobile-review's N95 camera test against K800 and you'll definitely see K800's macro, color saturation, white balance advantage over N95. N95's 5mp sensor provides better details but K800's camera module prove us to be more of an advantage even with the lesser resolution:)

i personally agree with the walkman and cybershot balance. but isn't this answered by SE by incorporating walkman grade player in it's cybershot phones? maybe because the problem is the lack of Megabass eq.

SE must put walkman and cybershot together, imagine an 5 mpxl camera phone with xenon flash vga video with 3,5mm jack + loud and clear speakers, 2gb expansible memory ... get this together with a stilish design and its the best phone of 2007, killing n95, plus its kind obviusly that the next se cybershot phone will feature an 5mpxl camera to run together with nokia.
