your Flash is probably switched off
but do try to test another K850i to see if the problem is only with yours
if yes then take it to the o2 Shop
To many reviews say that the K850 is not as expected!!! Deceptions all the way! Will wait and see!
i just wish i could post pics on here to show you all the quality even compared to the k800. if anyone has access to a k800 take two similar pics put them on your comp and look at the difference someone please do it because i've tried everything and i think i'm going mad. i've been trying all day to find a solution but came up with nothing.
i'm really begining to think theres something wrong with the flash on mine, i hope for the phones sake it is only the initial shipment because it has potential and i'm truly gutted it's turned out this way i'd even ordered my 4gb memory card and bluetooth headphones.
as i've said previously the mp3 player and media centre is awesome and i love this function. i'm starting to get used to the keypad and touchscreen after only 2 days but i think this handset will have to go back to o2. But the question is do i try another k850 handset to see if mine is indeed faulty. looks like a trip to the o2 shop tommorow for me.
I agree with some posts that camera takes dark pictures intermittantly.
Had the phone several days and spent the weekend playing with it. Camera is noticably better than the W810 which was my last phone. Music player is typical good SE quality and it has a pretty loud speaker. In call quality is clear. All in all its more of a masculine phone if you're a fashion person. Only bad point for me - I would prefer to be able to seperate pictures in a seperate lockable folder. This phone just stores them in month they were taken.
And yet you seemed to want the phone earlier when you asked kDnq about where and how much you could get it for a good worth/price.
To EVERYONE. This phone is still only the initial shipment and the phone WILL/SHOULD get better after the stock is replaced.
Just like any other SE phone, you have to anticipate that SE did not anticipate the low quality of the phone at first, and will do a better job with a secondary unannounced version of the phone.
Whatever you say guys, I'm getting it anyway. It isn't that good you expected, but isn't that because you waited so long for this "masterpiece"?
Anyway, the only disadvantage I see is that the camera isn't a big improvement, and the fingerprint thing. But I can surely live with that! On the other hand, the desing is marvelous in my opinion, the camera is still fantastic, great media player, it's got all the features you need and nothing you don't need!
Can anyway say if a phone is better? A phone which great looks, great media player, great camera, and great battery life? If so, I'll buy it! But honestly I haven't found anything...
Nokia N95 - too big, ridiculous battery life, functions you never use, but still pay for it
Samsung G600 - Ugly, ridiculous battery life
Samsung G800 - Long time before release, but it looks good. Only I have my doubts about the battery life.
If I'm missing anything please tell me. But don't act like the K850i is a big disappointment. It's a great phone, but nothing is perfect.
I don't know what every1's talking about. I have this phone and I'm really pleased esp. with the pic. quality, I do not see why every1's complaining about the pic. quality, design, etc... I mean seriously what did you guys think? that the phone will be totally different then descrived? Or are the nokia lovers trying to give this phone a bad name?
actually everything said is true.
check mobile review forums
many users are reporting the camera sucks... the flash as low a LED.
its plastic fingerprint magnet.
M@Ti - FALSE EXPERIENCE STORIES??? I am a SE fan, i try the phone for 2 hours:
-Keypad feel cheap
-Camera take dark pics
-The price is way to high
-Bad video recording (QVGA)
I will wait for the K860, slimmer and bigger screen!
Lol i'm laughing at those who hate anyone who likes a nokia (how dare i have an n73 and an opinion)i've been comparing it to my n73 because thats the phone i have!!!!
i've no loyalty to nokia, sony, samsung or any other manufacturer my only loyalty is getting a phone thats right for me.
we have been promised great things from the k850 and to a certain degree it's a great piece of kit but a giant leap forward it is not, again in my opinion (another opinion people will talk). being cybershot branded i expected a whole load more from the camera anyone who has one will tell you indoors it takes below average pictures, outside it's average. my sons k800 takes certainly lighter pics.
music wise its fabulous i love the new media centre if it had been walkman branded it would have got away with it.
if i go back to my previous phones w800 w810 (great phone) w610 (gave it to my missus) my n73 is the only nokia i have had for 5 years so i'm not a nokia die hard.
so to sum up if you don't like other peoples opinions don't read them it really is that simple. every phone has it's drawbacks and strong points i try my best to give an honest opinion (there i go again) and i really like the music side to the phone but the camera lacks.
I've had mine 2 days and having a few issues with it, hangs on web, camera flash goes off too soon/too late resulting in dark photos.
Also automatic lense cover doesnt always open.
not what i'd normally expect from SE.
K860i, K830i, W970i are about to be announced, and people haven't even tasted the K850i..
I believe SE is doing a bad job on its marketing strategy. looking at their direct competitors, they wait too long to release their phones. i am sure they were waiting for the "spending" period of the vacations.
for the people who just got jealous and started praising N73....go and check the N73 gsmarena opinions...K850i is distinct and incomparable...if you like it then buy otherwise don't.
