y are people rating this phone really low?this phone will be the next crown of all jewels and the n95 will bow down to the k850 no mater what!!!! because first of all, nokia can never beat sony ericsson's battery life and most of all, sonyericsson has reached up to a level where nokia can never reach the level of sony ericsson phone productions now these days.
to kapil, it's not important to put high color ,the important is how is the screen performance,eg: nokia n93 screen 16m but is not as quality as k810i...so,go hell
Charlie - the N95 may be specified higher, but we're talking about a handset that's actually been properly developed by the manufacturer? Not something that was shoved onto the market willy-nilly without the software to cope with its specs... (N-series in general)
Very interesting design, will be interested to see how people deal with the D-pad design... doesn't strike as ergonomic, but definitely innovative...
well the talktime & battery backup of this phone is amazing it seems a nice phone but symbain os is missing i would go for nokia n95.
hey guys this phone have crystal bright display if you dont believe then check it in SE websie.
Some of you speak like 8 year olds. How the heck do you judge how well this phone is if noone even owns it yet? It's not a matter of SE vs. Nokia and some of you guys want to pick sides. I'm an SE fan but you really cant compare this with the N95 in my honest opinion. Even if you did, N95 is much better in terms of design and the 16M display. The design on this is just terrible...cramming so much into such a small phone. You can't honestly say that the small buttons and softkeys are appealing. When it comes to feature, this phone is good but N95 has both good design (well balanced look) and features. Finally, why are people so crazy about the high MP camera phone? Im sure most of us own a decent digital camera...so why spend hundreds more to have another one built into a phone. My point is...judge the phone in a balanced way rather than bias.
any of you who say that the n95's camera is better is on some crack. anyone who owns an n95 can tell you that the camera suck balls. over saturation of color. the k810 takes better shots! i thought about the n95...but after reading so much crap and disappointment from users its junk. nokia tried to cram a computer and a digital camera into it and didnt think about construction. that phone is a toy. i give nokia props for making it. but it was too soon and now SE has to show them whats up. even though the k850 doesnt have as many features. still a much better phone IMO and others im sure can vouch for that.
to zenyt.. i'm with you in what you are talk but people from nokia vote 3*1 is this equal? they must vote of true do you understand me....
This cellphone is very good but my cellphone is w810i and i like it very much
i am from iran
and ..s700 ..this shoudn't be a voting contest...the phone should be voted for his qualities ..not because u hate nokia and viceversa...if u wan't to "eqilibrate" the balance go on n95 page and hit 3x1 ....that's what kids do :) ..enjoy
it seems to be a nice phone...but it's far from n95 :( .n95 it's a mini computer..this phone it will be just a mobile with a 5 mp camera....and u could buy a 5 mp camera with 90 euros or less...:( . i still own a se w810i ...and i still think it's the best value for money... but ..unfortunatly beside the camera ...k850i can't be compared with n95 ...
pls vote for this phone 10 10 10 to beat the enemy nokia bcoz there is a people from nokia vote 1 1 1 to this phone.....
the thing with this phone is that it hasn't got an own operating system so pls do not compare it with the n95 for the single fact that both have 5 megapixel cameras. it's not the same thing but i can surely affirm that the sony ericsson will be better in terms of photography. so if you intend to buy a phone for this pourpose it's a wise choise, though i recommend you to buy a digital camera instead of a phone at this price ... it has better quality :) peace !
As Somebody Already Said:
K850i is in a Different class to N95
the K850i will Have Mass Market Appeal becuase of its Standard Platform Unlike the N95 which is Symbian and Nobody these days Want's Symbian(Not me anyway) This K850i will be a Top Seller Just like Most Sony Ericsson's !!!
and the N95 hmm well all i can say is *R.I.P*
Sony Ericsson's come to Crush The Party !!!!!
somebody said k850i has gps enabler and am pretty sure it aint inbuilt so u gotta pay for the internet while using the gps whereas n95 u dont pay cause its inbuild............i realyl hate how ppl say n95 has so many functions but its not practicle....everything is practicle....the gps aint so perfect but the rest is great.....
This is a nice looking phone but kick ass specs but it would be better if the specs was in the W960. also, why would you install Linux into the N95. Seems kind of useless
The big problems I can see are: 1) there is no central key, making navigation a lot tougher than it should be, unless '2' or '5' are. Also, 2) I'm not a fan of tiny buttons, and the soft keys look almost invisible. It's annoying to me that SE's higher end phones have excellent features but the most unusable designs.
