Anonymous, 13 Jul 2008just recently found out that when my inbox sms reached around 1400, phone will have problem re... more1400 messages?? :) i have magic message manager installed set to automatically delete my messages older than 5 days so i have not encountered my messages to go as high as that. I also use my magic message manager to automatically hide, store or segregate important messages to another folder I want so that my inbox only contains recent messages.
If you want to store your messages to be readable by PC, maybe you need to install "best message storer" or some other software. it will help you store all the messages you have and avoid encountering the problem you are having.

just recently found out that when my inbox sms reached around 1400, phone will have problem recieving more msg..... so need to clear the inbox... does anyone else encounter this same problem with their p1??
I currently have the Sony Ericsson P1i and it's probably one of the best phones invented. The phone is full with photo editing and office applications which really help out in times of need. And this phone is one out of few that you don't need a manual to work. And if you get used to the txting style, it's much more faster and easier. Any questions for this phone i'm welcome to answer. and if mp4 is video , yes it does.
hi im also a nokia user for almost 10 yrs of my life but i shifted to SE and this 1 was what i bought..yes,and im quite satisfied especially with its battery life..and its quality built..i also tried to learn its rocker keypad and once you get to know it its faster than the normal keypad..well i can actually now do both typing in qwerty rocker keypad and a t9 keypad..its just using skill and brains..hehehe
I have been using this phone almost 7 months. I found it perfect phone, However, I came across with some problems as well the 1)Alarm clock does not ring when it is switched off, 2) when it is Radio mood it cannot look for other channel and once it swicthed off from the radio mood we cannot switched back although we have not disconnect the ear hand set.
Therefore, I would like to seek some valuable views from the above phone users around the world.
i think the p1i is a "love it" or "hate it" gadget. i like it a lot. to those who hate it i understand you coz; you are new to a different environment. it takes time to be familiar with it. but it really depend on you. it's like going to school and if you don't study you fail. if you study you pass.
nokia's are very easy to use. it doesn't take days to learn but i think minutes. each time you buy a new nokia phone, its like using the same old phone. that is why if you buy an N series don't upgrade to another N series because it s basically the same. that's a big problem because nokia has run out of ideas. the only thing new to them is the physical features.
i'm just an old nokia user shifted to sony ericsson. actually more than 10 units already. but when i shifted to SE well a was really amazed with their phone.
this is only my opinion. i'm not against other brands....
mmm, 12 Jul 2008Been using P1i for a week and still learning. Not very easy to use (i'm a regular nokia n sams... morei forgot to mention, regarding the contacts, you can put as many fields as you want. click more, then "add field", you can put mobile(h), mobile(w), phone, email, so on and so forth.
click the next tab on top and you can add info such as bday, address, company, etc.
the next tab is for notes, a short description or anything and everything and anything you want to add.
the last tab is for personalization of the contact (but the picture can be personalized on the first page).
mmm, 12 Jul 2008Been using P1i for a week and still learning. Not very easy to use (i'm a regular nokia n sams... moreyou should have bought the G900. its basically an upgraded version of P1i at a more user friendly interface. It also has a 5-way Dpad and a regular keyboard.
P1i really takes time getting used to specially the jogdial and qwerty keyboard. It took me 3 days to get used to the whole interface and hardware layout and over a week to completely master it.
Fortunately though, once i got the hang of it, I am now 3x faster in navigating phone applications and typing sms as compared to a regular phone. Now i can't go back to a non-qwerty keyboard and non-touch screen phones. But not all user has the same result.
Been using P1i for a week and still learning. Not very easy to use (i'm a regular nokia n samsung user b4).The user interface and menu are mumble jumble, I can't edit 'labels' in the contact field!! I mean nowdays every1 has more than 1 number and uses more than 1 providers- would be easier to b able to know what no I'm calling at,or WHO 4 that matter. Smtimes I save no by the family name and in Nokia case I just add the diff family member's no by editing the label. Bcoz of this I really bow to nokia's user friendly ways. Positive outcome so far is the calender which I think is brilliant, no longer do I need to type in what date and wonder if the date is a weekend, coz in P1 u could see the whole details just like calenders on your wall. All in all I'm more dissapointed than happy with my purchase. I waited this for a whole year and it's not the 'one'! I'm still learning and usually it takes me 3 days to get used to a new mobile. The whole scrolling button and back keys are so stiff/akward!! I am trying to get used to this and I doubt I ever will unless they loosen-up soon.
