Yes thats right Eastwood, but with a K. Easy to type quick on the QWERTY, camera is very good, great menu layout, simple yet professional. Quick despite having the symbian OS which has been criticised. Like i said amazing, any other questions dont hesitate...punk!

To those who are planning in buying this phone in the Philippines, the price at Greenhills is between 28-29K pesos.

I've placed an order for P1i with O2, and today they're saying 'it's out of stock'. This wait is really bugging me now, because I've had some good feedback about it. It looks pretty good on GSMarena too.
And yeah I wanted to know if the keypad is really awkward? and the lack of navigation stick causes trouble?

My understanding is that P1 is already a successor of P990i. According to the review, SE is probably not to release, e.g. P1000 which is too many zeros, so they omitted the 3 zeros and this is now the P1. It was frustrating because the screen size is only 2.6" while P990i is 2.8". SE should make the next Pxx screen size to 3" or 3.5" with 16M colors. I'm a big fan of P-series (from P800, P900, P910 and currently using P990i for almost a year now).

Vkfe and Klint (Eastwood?) I would be grateful if you would share your typing experience with this phone. Can you type with speed and accuracy? The layout of the keys seems to make it difficult.

I am trying to find a phone with the following specifications:
1. 3G
2. WiFi
3. Camera with autofocus
4. FM Radio
5. Available right now
It seems that these specifications are so rare to be combined in a single device. The results I get from gsmarena's phone finder are:
1. N95 (poor battery life)
2. N93i (not handy)
3. N93 (many software limitations)
4. E90 (bulky, not handy)
5. SE P990i (many software limitations)
6. SE P1i (not proven yet)
7. SE W960i (not proven yet)
Inside the parenthesis I have put each one's phone drawbacks.
So, despite the non HSDPA, non GPS and non 16M colours, SE is on track of producing multimedia devices with data connectivity in fair quality and price.

I wonder if SE will also leave its users with unstable firmware.
They released a statement that there wil only be one more bugfix on the P990 and that they have fulfilled their legal oligations to the Operators for bugfixes.
The same thing happened with the P800 and the P900.
I think that trying to compete with the iPhone with this device will be useless unless they have the same rock solid reputation for customer support and stable platforms as Apple. Uhm, they don't.
C'mon SE - why not support your supporters?

Why isn't SE P1 showing up on PriceGrabber, or Amazon, or in US stores as widely as the Nokia N95? I prefer a touchscreen, so I would prefer the features trade-off btw the N95 and the P1. But the lack of P1 availability spooks me back to the N95.

On a serious note can one type with speed and accuracy on the P1's unusual keyboard?? If not, one may as well buy the SE W960.

I think SE needs to take a real hard look to their vision if they have one! About the P-1 device.
1- Is it supposed to be some thing to fill agape in their product line to what is available in the market by the other competitors?
2- Or because SE think’s the P-1 is a new product that the market lacks?
If the answer is no (1) then that will explain why the P-1 came out like it is and why the P-990i was released late way after the published date set by SE And way late after the introduction of the P-900i to the market as the next generation P series.
If the answer is no (2) then that will explain why SE has less than 10% of the market share since they lost their sense of reality to the
Consumer needs and their competitive edge.
SE needs to decide what they won’t the P series to be?! Or cancel it from their production line all together.
