you guys actually think this is an n95 killer? even tho its a touch screen its still a 256k color while n95 has a 16m color screen. it only has 3G and no HSDPA. cam only 3.2 MP compared to 5MP for the N95. it also lacks a 3.5mm jack and a video output.. with all of these things lacking i dont see how this phone is an n95 killer...

What the hell are waiting to make an 16M colors touchscreen phone, Aple iPhone and HTC Shift have it!...and by the way... awful QWERTY keyboard!, besides that, te camera is good and the other functions too, I've read the review.

herm i had lost my confidence using SE smart phones especially with this new version symbian, p990 is a failure , it crash endlessly , auto off , auto restart. after a few times upgraded the latest software still having the same problem. hope this will be a stable wan. my choice will be e61i for business

yes i m really thinking about the speaker they use coz a matter of fact i m not satisfied with the sound of P990i coz its really the BAD one i ever use with all the software problem and hassle i got from it.
Now i m thinking they really get the sound of this piece really good coz i want the same speakers like P910i minimum coz i like that model
and also one thing i really don't like the touch screen of the earlier model W950 coz its really hurt

The differences between P1 and the current P series which is P990 are only in camera resolution and bigger internal memory (160MB compared to P990 which has 64MB). Other than those, they are the same. I think this model has to be indexed as the next M series based on its model not as the next P series. As y'all know P series always come with flip keypad.
I hope Sony Ericsson will release this phone as the next M series. And for P series, it has to be released in next one or two years ahead as P990 just released in a market for couple of months (hasn't reach a year though).
And my wishes for the features that will be added in the next P series and without decreasing the current features, are as follow:
-GPS & in-built maps
-5MP DigiCam resolution with autofocus, macro, & xenon flash
-Music Player with TrackID
-EDGE
-Preinstalled Messengers Service (MSN, Yahoo! Messenger, etc)
-Higher version of its OS (Symbian UIQ 9.1 or perhaps version 9.2 has released in next 1 or 2 years).
Sony Ericsson is kickin' ass & rocks!

great looking phone but, since it has no edge, its even more useless even though it has no 850 band or US 3g frequencies. also, i hate touch screens. too bad it has no HSDPA as well. it is separating a good phone from a great phone. what ever. no good erricson modles ever come to the US

no its compitable to nokia n95 .. exept in the ( size only ) of the camera... every thing else is the same and mabye better in p1

i love touch screen phones. i currently have the motorola a1200. i feel this phone is the next big thing. the runner ups would be: iphone and nokia n95

hi guys,what is differences between this phone and nokia n95?
be honest to yourself,you know this phone will destroy nokia in sound quality,it has good connectivity features,it has wide screen and it has touchscreen,it has best 3.2 megapixel in cam quality,az we know sony in a leader in mobile photography,3.2 in a good size for producing good image no need for n95,
dont forget if nokia has 5 mp sony has brilliant sound quality

Why sonyericsson maximum time become great enimy of edge? Without edge how it can say business phone or roaming phome? My P990i becomes useless in my origin country and this phone will also useless where couldn't find 3g.
