Too bad for me, too pricey :) though theres a rumor about the M610 which doesn't have Camera but with WiFI and same system specs. gonna wait for that as i expect it'll be cheaper :) but if anyone already have this baby please conduct a user review here. :D
for the haters. leave this thread you are the crap here that doesn't have anything to say but to mention negative and false things to P1. all your opinions are emotionaly loaded because of your P990 experience which is unpleasant and contradictable by the real users of the P1 :(

And i'm sure you won't purchase this phone either.. reason being is you are only a poster on this website.. the truth is you can't afford to buy either one.. go to greenhills and buy a 3310 buddy.. speak tagalog nalang, no one can understand your broken english..

Simple fact remains is that you used the term incorrectly.. Continue to murder the engish language. And fyi, to use what you said against you, dont compare this pathetic attempt of a smart phone to the e90. Completely different levels. If you truthfully played with the e90 from finland, I believe your unit was defective. And playing with it is different from owning it. Owning it means to say you had the money to purchase it..playing with it means you didn't. alas, the truth hurts doesn't it.. good day, and check the "street price" for an english slang dictionary for me.. peace out priznicky

Let me start by stating that I believe the major companies are well capable of making decent phones but they need to be nudged. I can't understand why SE made this phone tri-band thereby limiting its use. Secondly why do SE religiously insist on substandard video recording? If they feel the feature is not important why put it in?? Sony with all their experience in camcording flatly refuse to put VGA(30fps) recording on this high end device. It is a disgrace. SE should remember that business and pleasure go hand in hand. Professionals want them on the SAME device. Furthermore, why are SE ignoring the contemporary developments in screen colour depth. The standard for high-end phones is 16Million; yet SE STINGILY insist on 262144 which is 64 times less. They are just cheating their customers out of a vivid experience. Even on screen resolution they are lagging. A modern 2.6 inch screen needs VGA (640*480) resolution. I-mate's forthcoming Ultimate 8150 has a 2.6 inch VGA screen. Toshiba's G900 has a wide VGA screen. Are SE sleeping?? Look at the keyboard. This is not the best solution for fast accurate thumb typing. Palm Treo's 680 is only a few mm wider and yet has individual keys. None of the professionals agree with SE's "butterfly keys" solution. They were wrong to place form before function. The cynical omission of EDGE, HSDPA and WLAN "g" is a further irritant. I suppose I'll just have to wait till SE wake from slumber!!

i dont know why people are running down 990i. with version 5 its very stable. it has ram issues i admit but its not that serious. have been a s60 user all my life. i switched to p990i from n93 and n73 and i dont miss nokia anymore. i m not saying nokia is bad but there r certain features of uiq that r not present on s60 phs like copy and paste, saving web pages and touch screen. even my nokia has ram issues. i wld get mem full notification on nokia as well so not much of a difference there. only thing which is a handicap is lack of edge support but browsing normal working gprs is not bad either. so my point is its a matter of personal preferences. both r good in their own right.btw e90 is a great phone but at the moment its not a value for money and has some bugs at the moment. i.m.h.o p990i is best buy at the moment with its price tag. and believe me its as stable as any s60 ph.e90 has loads of free ram, so it cant be compared with any phone as far as multitasking is concerned. p1 will be a good ph 2 as s.e has also increased the operating ram. i wld definately go for p1 if i had a choice btwn p1 and e90 because of better size and form factor.

joe momma, to own a mobile doesnt mean that u know how to use or utilize all its features. I have tried the made by nokia demo & even purchase the made in finland E90 which lasted only 2 days cause of hanging & slow processing, the multi tasking is feature is so bad, but the mobile could be good for people like you who just open the flip & close the flip.

Hey can anyone tell me if this is able to view AND edit Word, Powerpoint, and Excel? Can it view PDF?
Now anyone that has it (assuming it can do the above) what would you say your experience is like with the above?

In the Philippines first week of august... lets clarify something. When the term "street price" is used, it means the price would be cheaper than a "store" price. So if the "street price" is 30-40k, it would be a joke to purchase this phone.. Please don't use slang if you can't use it properly.

Oh No ! Another F-up from SE. No wonder they can't even reach 10% market share :( Why no EDGE? No hi-speed Wifi. No Gps. No 5mp camera. No hispeed internet. No vga 30fps video recording. Not to mention the 'microscopic sized' keys and very probably some buggy firmware. Huh - and there are still people prepared to shell out 500+ Euro for this CRAP !

After the bug filled, hardware limited of the previously released P990i, I wonder if old P series fans will be inclined to buy this P1? Plus the seemingly uninterested SE in supporting their old products and the fact that this doesn't look like a P without a flip.
