Just saw the Nokia E90 going for about US$850 and the SE P1i for about US$580 here in SGP. That's a pretty steep difference of about US$230 which is 47% higher than the P1i.
Feel comfortable with my P990 and i would not change my phone to this crap.... they just change the camera and take off t he flip that's all... but nothing more special about it
I read N95 forum and peple are just having a hard time to had it. Someone wrote that he is guilty to sell his W810i for it..other says that this iron block's battery drained as they entered in a mall..gps is draining battery very fast..etc.
this phone has features that can be used on a daily basis. wifi is 11mbps . GPS acessory can be added...
P1 is beeing sold here at philippines (ebay.ph) for P22k with 1 gig memory
What a crap device. Is a P990i in new clothing - faults and all -. I just had mine returned under the 7 days cool off period. After the P990i's fiasco I have learned my lesson. I had to pay in for a N95 and so far so good. Never had a Nokia before but now I understand why they are so far ahead in the cell phone market.
Thanks buzz kill for the response.
The general response has been that the E90 is the one to go with as my main usage would be for reading/viewing rather than typing. That said, I am now looking at Symbian voice recognition software to help me enter text or other tasks.
Is there opinion that We can load windows 5 or windows 6 instead of symbian solfware to that phone? thanks
desmond, i own an e90 and i just purchased the P1 for my cousin the other day. If you are looking for pocketability then get the P1. Aside from its size, the E90 is a far better overall phone. hands down, from the web browsing experience, multi media usage, keypad..etc, you will not miss the touch screen..
Hello, Please Can somebody help me tell how can active the Internet through mobile network of SE P1i.
100% sure of the price, 26,+++.++... And the good thing there is the one (1) year warranty from no less than Sony Ericsson Company... Great Deal... I'm planning to buy one...
I live in north america the time for text messages recieved doesnt match the actual time is there anything i could do to correct this.
Thank you Paolo & Grim for the feedback.
The P1i has the form factor & the touch screen going for it, while the E90 mainly has the screen that can read web & docs better. Would expect to do a lot of doc & web reading on it & having something that is on all the time & easy to read is like having a book I can pick up anytime & carry on.
Currently own a HP IPaq 6828 & browsing or reading web or a doc is painful & am finding that a phone keypad is crucial for dialing/sms.
Hence, my dream convergent device is something with the 800x352 resolution, screensize & phone keypad of the E90 but with something as small or smaller thanthe P1i but with the touchscreen.
can any one tell me does this handset support the mircsoft office softwear like the XDA mini s
Having purchased a sim free P1i purely for the WLAN & over the E90 because of the touch screen I can confidently say that the web browsing experience isn't great....maybe I expected too much I don't know but when trying to fill in boxes on web pages using handwriting recognition I constantly end up scrolling down the damn pages instead. On the flip side if you don't mind the size, (it's not heavy though really) then its a great handset. That said, mines going back!
