I think Americans should stop complaining about the lack of EDGE in the SE portfolio... How about your networks get off their asses and get with the programme... how many years has the 3G telephone network been around (let alone UMTs and HSDPA) and your networks have done nothing.
If you want to complain about EDGE we can ask the sam questions of your iPhone, which still hasn't confirmed that they will have a UMTS device for the (very big) rest of the world.
It's because SE could hardly penetrate more on the America's benchmark of high-end communicator, blackberry than penetrating the european and asian regions.
Sony Ericsson's refusal to make phones with the 850 frequency for North America is bothersome. If you live in North America, why spend a substantial amount of money for a phone not optimized for your area?
Anyway, no bashes can bring down a good phone, it will speak for itself. P1 is a very good result of SE's sincere efforts to UIQ 3 for me.
hey dude, i'm sorry i missed your point..
yeah, for their complains:
already hyper-imposed as P1's disadvantage
in GSMArena's review.
to be more precise, i'm relating to the other brand fanatic's constant complains about the lack of features that this phone does. i just only wanted to imply that this page is for "user opinion" not for those who wants to complain about the lack of the HSDPA, 5mp cam or etc. you may post all your grievances at the comments page of the GSMArena news announcements and your Review comments on the P1 Review.
dude sorry if you misunderstand me=D
we won't change the subject here
because this is the page
of the subject P1,
and there are good reasons
we won't change our minds on P1
want another subject?
why not visit other pages...
the P1 DOES have a full qwerty keyboard, its not like a sure-type blackberry. its called a butterfly keyboard because the left and right side of each button are raised higher than the center, sorta like a half-pipe. you just push farther to the side of the button for what letter you want. like the q and w button, if you want q, push down on the left side, and if you want w, push on the right side. also shift(the up arrow on the bottom left)+q for the ! and shift+w for the /.
to email@example.com : NO. we doesn't need that, you need that. buy a n95, that have all that in a very bad cuality.
I'm hoping that it's not going to be as bad as the P990 which still a great failure for SE
the only difference for the p990 is the 3,15 mp cĀmera.
we need the sony ericsson mobile with:
5.0 mp camera
finger print id
dual slide keyboard
design and manuscript as apple/iphone
much more memory
display with 16m colors
I am afraid it may sound a bit Rough...but...
I've never seen such a disgusting phone till date !! Are Sony Engineers totally off the charts??
No Camera cover!
"JUST" 3.15 Mp cam!
No Full Qwerty Pad!
This is frankly gonna seriously tarnish Sony's reputation that 990i held.
And OMG ! I did not wait all these months just to see something this ugly!
Nokia and Samsung are making the competition bitting dust with their N95s and Ultra editions.
This Phone simply does not Deserve the Sony "P" Grandeour.
Wise people keep off !
i think the style is perfect, polished aluminum chassis and silver-black color combination are just perfect.
The lens is actually inside the phone so there is no fear of damaging it, unless you scratch it yourself. And of course, the small size of this smartphone makes it perfect as a camera.
Only the price is going to be high...
I was watting for this phone
after reading the features I became sorry for watting all this time for a very few improvments.
3.15 mp camera!!!!!!!!!
no cover for the lence!!!!
ugly design :(
it remaind me of my first SE phone 3 years ago
SE was my chose but I dont think it will be any more
wow i think this phone is good and all but the camera could have been better, why did they take infared off??
if you really say speedy processor means most for the business tool let me tell you:
>>Some/Most of HTC devices and even the High-quality ASUS PDA P526 uses 195Mhz processor namely TI-OMAP 850
>>If we recall a history, P910, 7710, 9300, 9300i and 9500 all uses 156Mhz processors. with the relatively smaller screen display rendering(208x320 vs 640x320/200) the P-series aheads them in performance. i'm not even doubting if P1 will surpass E90's performance because in notebook mode E90 utilizes a whooping 800x480 display slowing the phone performance over the N95 during the Mobile-review benchmark performance test. So with the small resolution differences between the 208x320 in older P phones and 320x240 of the new phones i'm pretty sure the additional 52Mhz on the P1(208Mhz) is adequate enough to run efficiently. bear in mind that Symbian is a lighter OS when compared to Palm and Windows.
not changing my p990 for this.. is this the best you can do? for crying out loud. still wlan/b?! only 3.15mp cam? geez. its a successor of m600! why call it a P1? if this baby had a flip keypad maybe it might be worthy joing the p family. just maybe.
