the keyboard is genius - comfortable, fast, and takes up little space - the only viable alternative to blackberry i know.

it's 4yrs old so of course it's slower thant new models, but the basic hardware kit still rocks.
and at its time it was probably the slimmest smartphone out there.

shame UIQ faltered.

shame that P1i got killed by touch-phones.

Its a nice set....!! i lyk his looks, its so stylish. i recenty bought that set, i am looking frwd for updated advance version...!!
I hope sonyericsson soon release new version....!!

This Phone is really superb, I'm using it from Last 3+ years, dnt know Y sony stopps its production, need updated model of the same phone.

Can i still send a text even if my touch screen won't work? how much is the cost if i have my touch screen repair? is it repairable?

When will sony erricson make a phone like p1 but with much better specs?

I mean I saw a lot of smartphones for and the only real competetor to the p1 is the n900, in other words when will sony make another phone that would be competetive to other smartphones even for the next 3 years of it's production?

I really like this phone. i have it for more than 3 years already and i really can't compare it to any phones i have. I got around 8 mobile phones right now and i will never dispose this SE p1i. ;) Like.

To save battery life.
My screen brightness is like 23%
Then i turned off my 3g.
Because 3g eats my battery.
If you wanna turn off the 3g.
Go to Control Panel then Connections.
Then Mobile Networks
Then click More
Then click GSM/3g Networks.
Then click GSM Only.But it's your choice.
I seldom use 3g.
Cause i don't like my battery getting low.

my service provider has recently launched 3G. The staff dont seem to be able to set up internet on P1.
Can someone please itemise the fields that must necessarily be filled in to access the internet.

had this phone from the first month of release. but as my iphone came, i rarely used this genius. well, im sorry P1, u still come in handy. so when im bored with my iphone, im always amazed that this genius is still workng smoothly. ONE OF SEs BEST!!! Followd by ARC

I have this phone for a year. last week during charging, all the lights from lcd to keypads stop functioning. everything i working except the lights. P1i gurus can you help me fix this issue?

without edge we cannot get a higher speed internet .because 3G is not provided in a lot of district.
