@5ushi
don't use m2, use the usual memory stick duo. it does support up to 128mb, that makes 128 memery stick duo usuable for p800. how this helps. :D
@claire
have you tried switching it off and on? if yes, then i guess you would have to have it reflashed from sony ericsson center.
@Pelumi
I think your screen needs replacement. bring it to a technician.
@hasan
choose P910 instead as it supports up to 1gb memory stick, this phone can only hold up to 128mb memory stick

Those experiencing software problems (like no connectivities and odd memory problems) should get there phone's firmware reflashed. Just take it to a nearby phone store and they will do the rest (for a fee, of course)
I recently bought this phone for about $50US in NZ as a 2nd hand, and I must say that it is quite a nice phone. The only bad thing is that it doesn't take videos, and that the screen is not very bright. In addtion, the battery life sucks - it lasts about 30 minutes of calling. I am thinking of getting a new 1260mAh battery (genuine one) from Sony Ericsson. Is it worth it or not?
Can anyone tell me if this phone can take upto 128MB Duo Cards max? I recently tried a 128MB M2 card with a DUO adapater but it would not read it... Perhaps due to a voltage difference? Or is it that the eariler P800 can't read 128MB or not?
Apart from that, this is quite a good phone despite it's age. Looking foward to using it through university~
Answers to the questions above will be greatly appreciated...

To Marik: how the hell can you compare p800 to w960i...it is a 5 year gap between the two.. of course the w960 knows much more...
I used this phone for 2 years and it was great! Bought it SH and the battery still goes for 4-6 days with average usage.
And for the newbies...NO IT DOES NOT SUPPORT 1GB...only 128 MB. So don't use it as an mp3 player (get one separatly) just put your favorite ring tones, pics and soft on it.

These phones are going dirt cheap on eBay. I purchased one for £20 to use as a back up phone, but they do occasionally go for less, fully working! I did buy one a couple of years ago for £70 and loved it, although 4096 colours isn't very good when you want to view photos or videos. Think there's a camcorder application for it, I'll have to search for that.

you cant put a 1 GB for the P800 it supports only up to 128MB so its not good to have! i have a W950i you should have it or better to have the W960i for sure! it has 3G same as my W950i,P800 doesnt support 3G btw :(

to start up with the P800 is really difficult particularly when u are using it for the first time given to u by a friend or close relation without a manual to go along with. I suggest that Ericsson doesn a favour by posting the soft copy manual by product for users like meself.
thank you
