Any update on the release date? Scheduled for 1st quarter of 2006. But that is 3 months?

If SE put more things in the phone then it would be big, heavy and expensive. Who would be such a phone. Just thing guys, one of the most promising operating systems in a phone with good to v.good features. It is my next phone anyway. 2 in 1, like shampoo :p. A complete mobile phone, and a comlpete PDA in one device. UIQ 3.0 rocks guys, rocks!!! Just take in to account all of these things. Last, a few words abou the processor. It is something new, an innovation I can say. It's not like any of the other processor. Even though the MHz are low it doesn't matter because it has different chips for the 5 or 6 things, you know, graphics etc. So... wait and let's hope it's not very expensive.

my suggestion always right, i wrote the o2 atom article seems to be the phone has having very bad features and not comfortable. I prefer to go one and only SE990i.. so guys do ready for the mobile victory with se990i

This will be e best phone nothing can compare to it. nokia come out any model also not going to beat this one. even with a better spec. sony still e best cause of e user friendly interface~!!!!

its the best phone ive ever seen .the others are only named but this is SONYERİCSSON P990 the real and the best.i havent buy anytinglike nokia or anything always my choice is SONYERİCSSON, it cant be change. if you are looking for a new phone occures with smart technology choose P990. i choose it & im gonna buy.

To some people favoring n80 on this link,

please remember we are comaparing a phone that hasn't been released yet. how sure we are that n80 beats p990 while we could even still not saw or tested them? those two phones are still coming soon so are they sure that n80 won't bring us disappointment? yes all p990s features are beaten by n80 but who came first? we could compare them if they were anounced at the same date at the same time. but n80 is released after p990. so you know the answer. we all know that later phones are more featured than old ones... another is that find another phone who features the same as n80's camera,wifi,edge,or anything that p990 don't have. p990 has wifi-g no edge and lower megapixel camera but it doesn't reflect that p990 is beaten easily while we don't know who will hit more on market one reason is that n80 expectedly will be sell at a higher price than p990 (for all budget and feature conscious) did all of you think that? try to compare this unit to other upcoming models of SE that has the same types of features this phone has...

It is official No Skype is not yet offered to any type of Symbian phone! But it will come quite soon and probably the Nokia N92, N80 And this SE P990 will the first ones to have it avaible too!

this phone is the smartest phone that i ever seen... this phone got many functions... PDA hp... 3G hp... many more... even 2.0 mega pixel camera... the best phone ever...

It's very simple-P990 is smarthphone for business people,N80 is so-called smarthphone for kids and teens.

To be quite frank! I know I have slagged off the N80 a bit, BUT! It is quite good! Basickly if you want a smartphone which is like a blackbury/PDA style phone, then go for this seeing as it is touch screen, jog dial, big screen and qwerty keyboard. But N80 is a nice smartphone still but not like P990! Still jolly good even though it has smaller screne but doesn't really matter as phone smaller and nice to use! The bad points on Nokia N80 is battery a bit weak, no auto focus on camera but has good foucs modes and Nokia's Internet browser has good features/maybe slightly better than the Opera 8 one on this P990 but slightly slower than the Opera 8 browser but doesn't matter! Not 16million colour screen and no Voip I think but might be availble in 3rd party software!
Bad points of P990 are:No 3.3mm headphone Jack No 16Million Colour screen No VoIP over WLAN but could be availble in 3rd party software Bad for Americans:No EDGE No Quad band WiFi only B not G Not 3MP Camera No UPnP. Still as I said P990 is more like a PDA styled phone so has jog dial, touch screen and bigger and qwerty keyboard but suits differnt people so both phones are good but your decision on what you prefer!

I realy dunt understand why alot of people say that N80 is better & give it a high votes ?? even P990 & N80 didnt came out yet?? & from reading the features of each phone i think that P990 is better

I have been waiting to buy a good PDA..but i believe PDA's are still under development phase and none has been able to come to the right mixture of everything( memory,camera,processor etc) but i believe this phone is the closests to what we can have..simple cus..in india...rarely ppl would go for o2 cus it hangs and no resale value...and other reasons...however sony has been successfull with sony p800,900,910 and now 990 simply cus it has everything...and it dosnt hang up so easily ..trust me it dosnt!....but honestly u cant get everything...u have to compromise on certain things in ur phone...its not an easy choice...but who said it would be :)
