This phone is designed for the developing countries (thus lack of features), and to make their presence felt around the world, SE has released a decent phone. Note that this phone is a flip. Very nice and a proactive design, though I would prefer the memory be larger...

you guys better stop with your What happend SE?? comon SE would launch so many phones in 08 and you think all are going to be high end phones think again. i hear about 24+ phones would be realese so this just a start guys

i quite like the idea actually.
but 5mb internal mem + NO card slot? you gotta be kidding me...
i would say at least 32mb to store some mms!

Does this even look like a phone??? NO
Look like a walkie talkie with not atenn or something.
Why even have mp3 and a camera with 5mb memory??
As i sed, SE was definitly HIGH on something when the maked this phone"!

those radio phones ar for the ones that don't need much on their phone...they use it just to call, answer, sms, a picture when is needed and listen to the radio...i think they've launched the R series for the older people, i mean our parents, who are not so interesed in a phone's features, as we are..and they are listening the radio all the time...so good job SE! btw, they will not become a radio manufacturer..more phones to come out...so shhhh....

i most say, this is going to be real intresting! will this b the start of specialety phone's.. i hope it is! i mean who needs a camera in there phone with 1.3 so why pay for it..
mayb this will be the start of a phone who will b good in 1 or 2 specific features and will lose the rest of the junk you dont need or didnt ask for..
