s500 aesthetically its good, however it holds some major issues with the key pad (cracks easily).
SMS a little delayed when typing, recieving and making calls has a few problems (call drops out easily or can't hear anything over the phone sometimes).
Camera not the best, music is pretty good though.

I do not recommend this phone, there is major problem in the screen. I have change it for the 3rd time within one year.

Good phone - has nice features and looks nice. But its build is a bit weak - keys crack just from use. I have just sent mine of to be fixed due to a loose speaker and it cutting out intermittently when making/receiving calls (it's only 4 months old!).
Except for reliability and strength issues this is a very good phone.

love this phone! had it for a while! but sort of dropped it riding the bike. Don't know what happened to it after that! Well, i love sony ericson phones.. their the best!! love you!!!

well i bought this beautiful phone on July 2008. as long as i use it, it such a functional phone. i can download any games and any softwares to that phone. yeah, i know the build quality is such a crap. the keypad is too weak, it cracked easily. and the battery is so lame. but afterall i love it. the speaker is great, the sound is very clear. the camera is good too, the pictures are really great even when you use the VGA. but it cant make a good video -.- the GPRS connections also great too
well, i just can say i love this phone. it's better than the other phone i've ever had

This phone is one of the better cheaper ones. It's definitely better than the old chocolate bar/slider walkman phones. I do have to agree with someone's post that the build quality is crap. The frame is plastic and the keys have been designed to have nice cracks to allow more light to shine through during the night.

Is it normal when i connect it to the comp with Usb it turns off and then turns on and when i disconect it and try to view the downloaded files it turns off and then after 20 seconds turns on is this aproblem with the software
