Disappointment! That's the word about S500. The MP4 player don't work very well. The buttons to start/stop calls aren't so easy to manipulate. The memory access is very slow...

I already use this phone for about 6 months and already claim for warranty twice! Note that the keypad cracked easily within a month or less, the slot for charging and earphones will be loose around 2-3 months. I also changed the screen itself because the LCD gone 'BSOD'ed! It's a good phone really, if they upgrade it to 3G or maybe upped the megapixels size of the camera to a reasonable 3.2MP it be aight. The great thing is that the sound is great and you will love the theme of the phone, the everchanging lights that came out on the side of the phone when you got calls. You will also get attention when you are in the club!

Yes it has been know for *some* of these handsets to have the keys cracking, this has also been known for the w580i to do the same. The good thing about it is that sony have recognized this as a warrenty fault, therefore getting the issue fixed for you. i had my keys replaced and no more cracking! lovely!! (and u dont have to text alot to crack them...you do use it for calling too dont ya?)

Good phone. Great looks. Very fast. The only problem i faced was with video. Mp4 videos are all going out of sync .the video is lagging behind the audio. Did anyone else have this problem?

This phone has no problems at all whatsoever.
There really is nothing like cracking key pads and all that. The design is outrageous and the functions are all going really well. This phone has been tested before going on sale. Do not buy fake phones to avoid events like cracking key pad and all that.

Ive got the s500 for 2 months now..but its not worth the price.. The keys cant stop cracking even though i dont text a lot... but one thing for sure its just dust in front of the new lg secret(for the best phone up to date)
