is there something wrong with the SIM card compatibility with this phone?... it was imported from HK and it doesn't have that funky TIM band logo on it =p for some reason.. any sim card that i've tried so far doesn't work on this phone.. and the phone is unlocked

What were you expecting for the price? common really now... If you want a high dollar phone you gotta put out some more money. This phone already dropped to 250!! I thinks Its good enough.

went to the store today and tested the phone out. Feature wise it is good but the build quality is terrible. As bad as samsungs. Feels like a fisher price toy. Very disappointing. Looks better online than real life.
Anyone else feel the same?

I just got my new S500 yesterday. I chosed the green/black version. My first impression is that this phone is REAAAAALLY small, light and thin. I loved it. The slider is very smoth, no creaky sounds at all. The screen is big enough for me, and is very clear and bright. The flash menus are great, and there are differents light effects and they look very good in the night. The camera is average, somethin' like my old W850.
Overall I'm very happy with my new S500. I'd recommend it

dude!!i had got dis fone n i gav it bak witin one week..dis fone sux big tym..de kep pad s really worst..al ma keya got crackd witin a week..n battry life totaly screwd up!!don buy dis fone!!not worth..

That is the web site to setup your phone to use the internet. Go to the sony web site in the games section and start downloading the free themes and games!!! have fun guys!! Only thing I wish I did was buy a holster. I put it in my pocket most of the afternoon and now the black plastic part in the front has tiny scratches all over it. crap.. ahh well I still have the cover over the screen. Buy a holster guys!

If look closely at the middle when it lights up you can actually see the speaker of the phone. Did I mention it's really loud??

Ok so I just got this today and I wanna tell you guys it's pretty good so far! Call quality is very good! Music is very loud and it beats my friendsn95!Yes you can view pictures in landscape mode! Only thing that kinda bothers me is that there's no zoom on the camera. So if you want to take a picture your gonna have to get pretty close. Options are pretty fun such as the bluetooth remote. That option alone give me alot of laughs messing with my friend's tv. The slide is like the RZIR with is ok with me! The alarm is crazy loud!! This phone has alot of good features for it's price. Way better then my 8800 sirocco!!! oh yea the back part is like anew motorola (like the soft touch plastic) and the front has a shiny plastic cover. Kinda makes me wonder if the color will fade soon. eh oh well still good though!

How is the screen's durability? Do fingerprints come off of the phone fairly easily and does is stand up to scratches fairly well? This phone looks great!

and for $269 , i'll ssoon be purchasing this...my only concern was that it felt plasticky, but i remeberd ive been using a razr V3!!! for the last yr, so i shudnt be picky lol
