I'm in the USA and I want to buy this phone or the s710a for use on T-Mobile's network. I know the major difference between the s700i and s710a is EDGE... is the EDGE feature really worth getting. I don't think t-mobile even supports EDGE yet. Also, buy buying the s700i you'll have a true international phone - right?

I got this fone it is great fone features are exellent good sounds picture is good i would advise anyone to get it .it is well worth is its money

Yeah but its big a beautiful very curvy etc. :) and will turn heads not the good not bad.

WOW!!! Thanks a alot :) i have read that the video was only 1 min ??? is it really as long as memory card ?? also wat kind on card can i use ? and how big?? quess i can't use my sd card from gx30! wat card comes with the phone or how much memory, and do you geta data link cable with the phone ? cheers :)

-as long as memory.
2) Can i put mpeg4 files like simpsons episodes on the phone and watch them on the phone ?

5)is the phone itself fast i have a gx30 and it is so slow takes ages to load pictures up etc.
-yes, very. too much memory causes slow tho... get big memo card.

Some of the new Nokia phones feature a symbian OS. I understand there is a programme you can download which enables the user to block any unwanted numbers (not sure if that's just with text or calls too, but still is useful). The Sony Ericsson S700 doesn't have symbian, so I was wondering if anyone knows if it has a function which allows blocking of certain numbers (or at least is able to download a working program which will do this)?

OK there are many post and i have looke dbut not found answer to my problems , i have a gx30 on pay as you go but want to get a contract phone and the s70i looks good but....
1) How long can you record video ?
2) Can i put mpeg4 files like simpsons episodes on the phone and watch them on the phone ?

prob 2 secs, but once u get used 2 this fone 1 sec should b enuf- n they got a burst mode as well tho..if u wanted 2 get 4 images at 1 sec, u can do it

well..probabli 2 meters away..but u can use the night mode tho..the light isnt necessary

4 the ppl out there- if u r meant 2 catchin up with the latest mobile fone technology, forget it(except if u r as rich as bill gates obviusli..) s700 was released nearli the end of 2004, n by the earli 0f 2005, SE alrdy announced w800 k750. By the time w800 n k750 released, 3 months later or so, there might b a fone integrated with a 3.2 MPx camera ~

you helped me how to use the zoom after i took pictures...may i ask if i can still zoom the pictures i have taken for the 2nd or 3rd time? coz it seems like i can only use 1x zoom...
one more thing...is there a any way to view video clips in a larger screen? do you know where i can download or fix this problem?

I forgot to add one more question:
-How fast you can take photos?
(I mean how many seconds from the time you took one photo to be able to take another one).
- How do the photos come in the night?
(does the flash catch up at least 2 meters?)

First of all the price for this 1.3 megapix.
(without optical zoom) is too high (eventhough you can get it relatively cheaper at $480 on www.no-air-time.com , comparing to other websites).
Secondly, can someone stop giving twisted nonsense reviews and tell something decent about the must features of the phone and camera such as:
-Sound Quality (not of the ring tones-duh!)
-Battery life (can you take 30 photos and talk on the phone 3 hours? -all in one day if the battery fully charged).
-Reception quality
-Convinience of menu

the k750 or w800 may sound good phones but realiticaly they wont be out for ages!!! they say 1Q or 2Q 2005 but it takes bout a year! get the s700i insted, i just purchased it and it is the best mob. ever. camera is fantastic, with huge bright screen! get it!
