SE really decided on the 1000mAh battery and a lousy 12mp camera.
1600mAh battery and a 8mp camera would have been better but that case nothing to drag about.
A few su..ckers will fall for the 12mp camera.

The sensor size of camera phones are so small that the quality of a digital camera so much better since the sensor size much larger and the electronics much more advanced.
The DLRs are has so much bigger sensors that it is pointless to compare.
The compact digital cameras already have much larges sensors and lenses and that itself enough to outperform the phones. The much more advances electronics just increases the difference.
A relatively good compact camera is about 400-500 USD.
(DSLR 1500 and up)
You pay for performance and quality when you get a digital camera - a phone will not produce similar quality.
That is the reason that today a 12mp phone camera is pointless. Much better to have a 5-8mp phone with great lens and less dense sensor - better quality.
12mp sensor more dense producing more noise and artifact with out the benefit of useful resolution.
For normal size print (8.5x11 or A4 - people rarely print this size or larger) 5-8mp is more than enough resolution.
12mp is just a PR/ / SALES gimmick without merit - actually it has disadvantage since with the same technology an 8mp sensor would produce a much better image!!!!!!!

this phone need only 3 things and it will be really damn nice phone.
3.5mm
TV-out
replace the old charger port with usb port for charging
if they did that to IDOU then this phone will hit the market soo high and soo nice...
i don't care if there won't be Exmor in IDOU as long they will put VGA or D1 video record in it i'm satisfied.
if SE planning to put Exmor in there cell phones then i guess they will start putting it in C line before putting in any other category cause C line is about all about Camera but Ultimate Entertainment is about other things then a Camera so i hope to see new things in Idou ^_^ can't wait for 28th...

> In reply to Anonymous @ from HHHH - click to readI believe it will be around RM2150-2500. But rest assure, quality is ensured. I think you will need to buy another plug as the voltage output is different. You can buy that plug in aus but i doubt you will find it in malaysia. You are also looking forward to purchase this phone is it? Same here. Can't wait for it to be released this october. =)

Actually idou will be using a platform better than s60 v5. That platform will only be completed and fully functional by this year end. That's why idou will be released late. But still, i am hoping that idou will be a one of a kind music player and compact digitat camera. That way, they will be able to fulfill sony's motto"like.no.other" =)

> In reply to 7:36 @ 2009-05-24 13:24 from PUAQ - click to readas we say: "quality costs" but for me one thing I dont like about SE is that they announce their phones so early so it takes too much time for them to build that phone, and sometimes Samsung, Nokia and LG are able to copy the specs and design and come out with the same phone before SE releases it.
I just hope SE will come out with new technology such Nvidia Tegraor, Omap 4, WM 7 or Symbian 9.5 and other new things

Se inside, if you or your friends are se technician, tell them to get their acts together! Or better still, if possible, ask the board of directors to put EXMOR into IDOU! For heaven's sake, if idou is really entertainment unlimited and have the best of both world, as claimed by the marketing director, then EXMOR sensor is a MUST along with other outstanding camera hardwares as well as music hardwares. If not, then IDOU cannot live up to the title ENTERTAINMENT UNLIMITED.
SE! PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER! NOW IT'S DO OR DIE! If you fail us, then you can kiss yourself goodbye!

Wikipedia's definition of 4G wireless standards:
3GPP is currently standardizing LTE Advanced as future 4G standard. A first set of 3GPP requirements on LTE Advanced has been approved in June 2008. The working groups are currently evaluating various proposals for standardization. LTE Advanced will be standardized as part of the Release 10 of the 3GPP specification.

> In reply to 7 @ 2009-05-24 10:52 from PUAQ - click to readNo, as 4G isn't finished yet, commercially. It will, however, be awailibe by the end of this year in Stockholm and Olso, but a worldwide release will take up to 2 years.
Just don't listen to the WiMAX-fanboys. WiMAX is a successor to WiFi, while LTE is a successor to 3G. So calling WiMAX 4G is like calling WiFi 3G.
Sorry, but there's only one thing in this world that is 4G, and that is LTE.

> In reply to arak @ 2009-05-24 10:50 from m4NR - click to read4G is LTE, not WiMAX. WiMAX is like HD-DVD, a failed format that'll lose and fade away.
Too bad Ericsson and others only support LTE. WiMAX is already considered as a lost format.
Sorry, but study more before you post.
