i used USB data Cable DCU-11 to connect to PC. But the drivers CD, that had with cable does not support the Model (T290i).

I have a t290a phone. It's nice phone works ok. Can't seem to find any games for it. Decent sound from phone. decent antenna. It's gprs works pretty good in basement of the house i live in.

I have one of these as a backup phone. stop complaining that it doesnt have many features and the screen isnt good. face it, sony ericsson made this phone for people who want basic phones. this one isnt meant to be hi-tec.
if u dont want a basic phone, dont buy one, simple solution.

Hi,
Is there any one who has very recently taken this phone....Gosh what have you done??? Sony erricson tried including all the best of its features but unfortunately they all combined do not make this one really good to use as one could easily recognise this once one has used the same for even around 3 months!!!!

this phone is pathetic. seriously the only difference between t290 and t230 is the handsfree speaker. it was my second phone [i had 3, the third 1 is a samsung. the screen sucks, and the keypad is completely uncomfrtable to use. the communicam [detachable camera] has the worst quality i eva seen. the only thing that i like about the phone is the design. i think its pretty kool. overall, DO NOT BUY IT.

I like this phone its very small and light... but then theres the small screen resolution and the cheap key pad.... i dont like it but still all in all its a great phone!

Acctualy I have a small problem with my Sony ericcson.I don't know how but sudedenly I have sort of a little hedphone in the left corner of my screen.Probably it means that i need hedphones to talk with someone,but i don't have them and i dont wan't them.I can't hear anyone on my phone anymore What should I do?
.Please help!!!

It's a real cheap phone. If you know what I mean!! There's no way to get your mms, e.mail and wap services from the official website or anywhere else. You can't bring more than 6 or 7 pics and the camera (that you have to buy as the same way all accessories)has not a nice resolution. I do not recommend this stuff.

I bought this phone unlocked new on ebay because I wanted to replace my T616 that had become full of static in the in and out sound. I wanted a cheap phone with limited features that would synch to my Outlook. For the most part this phone met my expectations. The size and ring volume are great. Now the negatives.
*People I talked to, even when I was in a quiet room complained that it sounded like I was in a noisy car.
*The angle of the sides and the slick plastic make the phone not very ergonomic in my hands. I love the small size but always felt like the lack of curves made me drop it several times.
*The low resolutoin screen was bright but just not impressive and makes me think they used the same old screen that was in the T68.
I really wanted the phone to be great but have stopped using it.

I bought a nokia 2600 and this phone and stupid me i gaved the t290 to my sister.... now i regreat that :( nokia 2600 sucks!!

the phone is really no roblem until you try to use it as a modem, there are no pc suits for this fone.

This phone is very reliable.The only problem that I have had with the phone is the poor screen resalution but other than that its great!!!!!

I got this model just as a back-up phone, you know as when you go to a club and may need to call a cab, check someone's number or simple messaging. The display disappointed me and the keyboard is terrible. A plus are the MMS and the WAP, the battery lasts forever. After the math, it's ok.
