the phon is small and light weight however i had to trade it in for a new phone b/c after a while it started getting slow and acting crappy

This cellphone has
terrible keyboard, absolutely worst i ever seen on any phone
very cheap and low-quality plastic cover, parts of it are not well fixated, especially part above the antenna and battery cover
there is no irda or btooth

there are some advantages of using it, like good battery life 4 - 7, 8 days, and it's enough lightweight to be carried around all the time. In overall, i think this phone is not so good investition. Maybe J2-- series?

I had this phone few weeks ago, just wanted to try and know its ability (had traded it with another phone now). In general, it's good in design and functionality. But there's just one big drawback: you can't save your contact directly to your SIM card. You have to made your contact list in your phone and then copy them to your card (and this'll erased previous list on the card to be changed with the new copies). I also had both Sony and Ericsson, but they always have control on SIM card. Then why this one doesn't?

The phone is very reliable but the only problem that I have is the poor screen resolution and the menu screen!!!!!!!!!!!

the phone it self is really cute. But I hate the menu screen, it looks as if a third grader drew it. There are no real ringtones, just the polyphonic ones. There is supposed to be an attachable camera but I'm having a really hard time finding one. But if youre looking for a phone just to talk on its fine.

the T290 is a good phone.the only real problem is it's poor screen resolution. then again it's not a expensive one!

Hello friends this is vijay from india. Even i am also using sony ericson T290i. All the features in the mobile is ok. Please dont charge the mobile the whole night. Whenevr you get the time you just charge it. But sony ericson is a best mobile. Even internet browsing is good. But still i didnt get the GPRS settings. If any one have the settings please forward it. Thank you, TaKe CaRe..........

Well i ahev purchased this set after i was inspired by its features, as described on gsmarena.com, specially usb port presence in this mobile...I dont think it has any usb port..Does it have any..please inform me if so

sorry but this is not supported with the usb cable and doesnt have an ifrared also.....

i like it. sure it's slow(very, especially in sms - liked my 3510i there) but it's cheap, light, beats the sh*it outta it's competitors in the same price range if u consider the pics an sounds (and i mean especially nokia 4 wich u kinda have to edit them in order 2 be recognized by it), an i dunno what u guys dit but i get 4-8 days standby and about 2-2,5h talk time. no it doesn't have a calendar (don't even need it), bluetooth or irda (have a cable), built-in camera or radio (so what? it's attachable if u really want 1).hate it though because it doesn't have java
