FINALLY! SE DID SOMETHING RIGHT!
If they can manage to get the battery life into the stratosphere, then we're talking!
All the features we'd need, and could ask for (bar Smartphone capabilities)!

High expectations for this phone; I'm sure it'll hit every one of them!

Sales will justify it's slim yet featurepacked from factor. as i would expect this could probably be a "best seller".

The keypad layout is great, don't complain if you have not tried it , I had the same concerns till i used a prototype. This is an awesome phone

I've tested this phone.

It's got a good camera, the video recording is up to QVGA and the keypad button are very ergonomic. Don't complain till you've tried it. Better than the squashed layout of the K800. And the metal is very luxurious.

Personally, I don't like it's design but the features are just great. I have a problem with the back of the phone though, the camera was placed near the edge of the phone which makes it ugly. Nonetheless, great phone.

Pros: nice design (metallic! YES!), good features (3G, 3.2MP cam), durable display, SE quality (good reception, good UI)

Cons: keypad not ergonomic (this is not for textmessagers!), only two colour options, backcover looks awful because of the cameralens, no HDSPA (I don't even need 3G, but this should be included in a "bells and whistles" mobile), pricy (although because of the features is has to be)

Had SE done a little less compromosing on the keypad for the benifit of stylishness and a little more for that ugly looking camera lens on the back cover, I'd get this mobile. I'm gonna get S500 instead. Yes, it has only 2MP cam, but I don't need my mobile to be a full out digital camera (since I have one). Yes, it doesn't have 3G, but like most people I don't need it as I use my mobile for calling and texting. And yes, there have been reports that the plastic design makes some plastic sounds, but I can live with that (at least it isn't a bit wobbly like that superthin U600 from Samsung).

SE is seriously adapting japanese designs from SE japan with the phones they are starting to announce, its actually nice and very refreshing since they don't look either neutral or a business phone that nokia always deliver to their consumers. But still, the reasonNokia remains the No. 1 player is because of their hardcore functionality! If SE would not just adapt the designs but also the functions then for sure they have 100% chance of winning against nokia!

I guess the next big move for them is merging cybershot and walkman and most probably put a UIQ in it to! hehehe in a killer form of either a clamshell with a 2.4 inch screen or a slide phone -slash-swivel phone like panasonic phones in japan!

Is that just light reflecting off the buttons or are they actually part white?

Its good to know SE is again reviving the T-series. Like its predecessor, it will also be a hit once it's out. Simple and elegant.
