Sony Ericsson T650 - user opinions and reviews

Sony Ericsson

SE should have given more colours in this phone like black , red , white & orange. But the green colour is also awesome.

I think all the things are fine in this phone except the keypad and memory card. If they had given the keypad of P900 and a bigger memory card like 512MB or 1GB in this phone then the phone would be much better. Right now it looks like that they had given a hint that there is thing like keypad in this phone also.

sony is really awesome yea? they really know how to please their fans. I think even if they have not really make a true high end phone, they still can maintain their fans. Some of of the really hard fans really patiently wait until they release the true high end. Great job.

Man i want this phone.
I Have been using the W800i since it came out and its been PERFECT i love it, after tonnes of photos and 20,000 txt messages its still absolutly PERFECT. i have a W850i to and its pretty good, jut bad to txt with, also i own the W880i and its ok bit lacks the camera and radio.
This phone looks and sounds soooo gooood. i cant wait.
I work in a phone shop and sony has proven it self as the far superior brand.
We send soo many Nokia's away for repair that its not even funny anymore.

I LOVE YOU SONY.

nirvana:

T-series is a carry over from Ericsson's T-series line there was no official statement that tells what T stands for but as i have seen through the rest of SE's T phones. it could be "Trendy" and/or "Thin"

The phone looks good. Impressive. Esp. the keypad & it's a huge jump after T630 (straight to 3MP cam and disp. res. is cool).

At last SonyEricsson created something nice to replace the well known T610, wich by the way i still have it!
Very classy, and with a nive price wh knows, could be another hit!
They should have improve that keypad, it looks tiny and unpratical...

IŽll keep my Benq-Siemens S88 for long while until this beauty cames out!
Nice Work SonyEricsson

I dunno if its just me or not...but when i look at this phone it just doesnt look like a "sony ericsson". looks more like something made by panasonic or something...maybe its just their new range of phones are designed with different colours to their usual white and black. and whats up with the tiny keys? and yeh it seems like the screen sizes on SE phones are generally smaller in proportion to the phone's dimensions...and most of their designs seems to have enough space for a 2inch+ screen

hey, i can guarantee that 1,9 with QVGA res is awesome. You know, with less space they can actually put the same amount of pixels to the wider one. This results to the greater detail and fine quality display. T650 should have got around 7605 pixels per cm2. the larger the screen, the less pixel they have per cm2, so K800 with 2" will only have around 6400ish. What about N95? 2.6? i bet it only have around 3000ish, which means, even K750 would have given us a smoother picture than N95. Does this make sense? I know ppl will love a larger screen (i love it too, only when they also raise the res, say VGA with 2.6, i would love the screen and i will make my way to buy the phone), honestly, 2,6" with only QVGA res is a terrible idea. like P990, M600 or P1.. if only they make it at least CIF res.

I had some hands-on time with the
T650 yesterday. Solid build, and
green one would definately be my pick.
No complaints about the camera, good resolution, colour balance and autofocus.
The only thing I didn't like too much was the menu system, it's the same grid as we have in the current phones but somehow too "crisp" (?) felt computerish. It might have been a beta unit, so hoping for some smoother motion in the menus.

i think we all people should not only stare at the written specs of the phone but also we should focus on the quality it gives to us. let's not judge the phone yet until we explore, used, or played with them. it is natural that some users who had experience will complain about the lack of the specs but if you compare it with the lack of quality then it's another story.

I don't get what's with SE and tiny screen.(Mid to high end phones)

Look at their current candy bar non smart phone, they go from 1.8" (W880i) to 2" (K810i), whereas Nokia goes up to 2.4" (N73). Now look at sliders, SE only has 2" (W850i/S500i/W580i), but Nokia's N95 now has 2.6" screen. And for flip phone, Z750i has 2.2" compared to N76's 2.4"

I was bit disappointed by this T650 with 1.9" screen only, but i guess at least they've introduced QVGA to their mid range now.

Amongst the recently announced SE phones, S500i doens't interest me as it's just a rebranded W580i essentially. T650i doesn't interest me much either, just get a K800i/K810i with better spec and less fashionable features. Only P1i catchs my attention

Really Cool!

Wish SE would come with new colour scheme, say... Black-Red like T610.
