The phone looks good. Impressive. Esp. the keypad & it's a huge jump after T630 (straight to 3MP cam and disp. res. is cool).

At last SonyEricsson created something nice to replace the well known T610, wich by the way i still have it!
Very classy, and with a nive price wh knows, could be another hit!
They should have improve that keypad, it looks tiny and unpratical...
IŽll keep my Benq-Siemens S88 for long while until this beauty cames out!
Nice Work SonyEricsson

I dunno if its just me or not...but when i look at this phone it just doesnt look like a "sony ericsson". looks more like something made by panasonic or something...maybe its just their new range of phones are designed with different colours to their usual white and black. and whats up with the tiny keys? and yeh it seems like the screen sizes on SE phones are generally smaller in proportion to the phone's dimensions...and most of their designs seems to have enough space for a 2inch+ screen

hey, i can guarantee that 1,9 with QVGA res is awesome. You know, with less space they can actually put the same amount of pixels to the wider one. This results to the greater detail and fine quality display. T650 should have got around 7605 pixels per cm2. the larger the screen, the less pixel they have per cm2, so K800 with 2" will only have around 6400ish. What about N95? 2.6? i bet it only have around 3000ish, which means, even K750 would have given us a smoother picture than N95. Does this make sense? I know ppl will love a larger screen (i love it too, only when they also raise the res, say VGA with 2.6, i would love the screen and i will make my way to buy the phone), honestly, 2,6" with only QVGA res is a terrible idea. like P990, M600 or P1.. if only they make it at least CIF res.

I had some hands-on time with the
T650 yesterday. Solid build, and
green one would definately be my pick.
No complaints about the camera, good resolution, colour balance and autofocus.
The only thing I didn't like too much was the menu system, it's the same grid as we have in the current phones but somehow too "crisp" (?) felt computerish. It might have been a beta unit, so hoping for some smoother motion in the menus.

i think we all people should not only stare at the written specs of the phone but also we should focus on the quality it gives to us. let's not judge the phone yet until we explore, used, or played with them. it is natural that some users who had experience will complain about the lack of the specs but if you compare it with the lack of quality then it's another story.

I don't get what's with SE and tiny screen.(Mid to high end phones)
Look at their current candy bar non smart phone, they go from 1.8" (W880i) to 2" (K810i), whereas Nokia goes up to 2.4" (N73). Now look at sliders, SE only has 2" (W850i/S500i/W580i), but Nokia's N95 now has 2.6" screen. And for flip phone, Z750i has 2.2" compared to N76's 2.4"
I was bit disappointed by this T650 with 1.9" screen only, but i guess at least they've introduced QVGA to their mid range now.
Amongst the recently announced SE phones, S500i doens't interest me as it's just a rebranded W580i essentially. T650i doesn't interest me much either, just get a K800i/K810i with better spec and less fashionable features. Only P1i catchs my attention

Really Cool!
Wish SE would come with new colour scheme, say... Black-Red like T610.

I would just like to point out that the main selling point of phones in developed countries these days is the DESIGN of the handset. Examples like the RAZR and Chocolate come to mind, so isn't SE actually making a really goo business more by increasing their market share by using existing technologies.
Company growth can only lead to better technology and better phones.
Just stop bashing and see the bigger picture. Nokia was always ahead but SE will catch up.

i dun understand you guys bragging about this phone posses the same technology as the previous models.. look. Despite being only 262K, have anyone actually compare the screen quality btwn K750-K800 and W880? the screen gets better and better you know.. ok.. you might complain about the screen being so small, but hey, they do not even lower the res, do you know whats that mean? this phone posses a more detailed and fine quality than K800 and K750, there is some improvement happening there if you really look into it.
Not to mention how slim this phone compare to K810/K800, isn't it something that need to be remarked? what about the light effects? it does looks really cool, in fact, it will be the main attraction of this phone.
yea i know, the video recording sux big time.. just get away with it guys.. after all you are buying a phone, not a videocam.

Looks like SE is using more metal in it's phones. Unlike plastic, which used to be their previous style.

oh i forgot...
SAME VIDEO RESOLUTION, THE CRAPPY 176 X 144
not much change from the great W800i/K750i..
Take a look at this : W800/K750/W810/K550/K610/K618/W660/W610/W880/K800/K810
Radio is excluded from the other one, or camera flash or camera cover or infrared port or autofocus then upgrade the camera a bit of the other one..
But basically, all of these have the same flatforms..they are technically identical & no major feature was added since the time of K750/W800..Until now the video resolution is at 176X144 (15 fps) & until now the screen size has barely changed..it does not exceed the 2'0" diagonal..
The P-Series are d better phones from SE..

IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY MAJOR DIFFERENCE WITH K800/K810..
Sony Ericsson has been producing similar phones lately..virtually all their announced handsets are identical to each other & to other previously released phones & only differ in design & a few features..
SAME SMALL SCREEN,SAME FEATURES....

Why don't some of you try the keys before making comments about their usability. They are spaced very well so you can't really hit many buttons at once.
