as i read before bit of an ugly duckling however i sell phones for a living and if yiou look at the quality of the features it superseeds the uglyness, the only drawback is the expandable memory which it obviously lacks, i have a k750i which is fantastic but this phone is geared specifically towards 3g capabilities and offers great value for money and is an excellent start for someone getting to grips with video calling for the first time, on the whole speaking from my vast experience in the mobile phone industry it is an excellent start for great things that are sure to follow from sony ericsson.

I have been using one of these for a few days now and I must say that despite my first impressions being Ugly Duckling... I can honestly say I have grown to really like this handset. Could this finally be my 3G Swan? Camera quality is a big improvement on T series handsets. Battery is very good (though not as good as claimed) and the features for contact management and synchronising with a desktop are great. I think the screen is much better than the V800 but it is a little smaller. All in all a very nice phone...

the back of this V600 looks WAYYYY better than the K600

To be frank, I really hate this sorta design of this one I mean it looks really bulky!!! Ewww!!!!!

man SE seems to know only one way to go and thats down. how can u possibly expect quality when there is not a single phone with symbian OS?? huh?? all they have is those gaudy coloured fancy phones thts meant for entertainment and tht alone. so obviously SE caters only for kids. and all these expensive c**p like this one dont even have expandable memory. K700 being another example. so all your left with is the razzmatazz and the animated wallpapers. those who buy it spend a fortune on it so they have to make themselves belive their phones are good. despite all the bugs that plague SE phones constantly.SE release only a few phones every year so then why not take the time to make em good and full featured? but no youre left with remote controls like this and designs that are meant for homosexuals like the hideous orange W800. and you know what? if u dont like em you dont even have a choice. with Nokia you've got that too.

I think its high time sony ericson make tremendous increase in their picture quality, comparing nec and sony erucson in terms of picture quality and avialablity of memory card is uncomparable, sony try and improve pn yr camera and create slots for memory card lyke k750 is a welcome development

To Dan: what quality my "friend"???!!! they had the T610 with 0,1 Mp camera!!!!!!!!!!!!! then they came up with T630 but also with 0,1 Mp camera!!!!!!!!! isn't that stupid. Another example: P900 then P910i the same ******* phone, only difference the keypad!!! the camera of the P910i? ... surprise only VGA!!! the same as P900. Look at what's happening now with the K500i, they 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! versions till K508i. My God if you realy have an opinion do document first my "friend". Last SE has ONLY 35 phone models at this moment (available, coming soon, old) as Nokia has 105!!!!!!! and don't tell me that the 6630, 6680, 6681 or the N models which are about to come out they all are quantity models...

Yes nokia may have 100's of models as you say. But it seems of late that nokia are producing Quantity not Quality. SE are doing things pretty well. Few models a year, but this is made up for by the quality of the models and the features.

Nice try but still the K600i equals in every detail the V600. Why the ****??? Look at Nokia, they have over a 100 different phone models (available, coming soon or just old), but they have them. Sony Ericsson on the contrary, they have one model with quite a few differences in design due to T-Mobile, Vodafone, ... but it's the same ******* phone with a different name. Another example of creativity is Samsung, again with over a 100 phone models. What's wrong with the creation crew from Sony Ericsson???!!!

Too bad SE werent even as resourceful as to come up with a different name than use one that already exists from a different manufacturer. never mind the remote control looks as already pointed out. with all these features its definitely not a cheap phone right? then why in the name of god leave the expandable memory out??? :D
Well SE gets it wrong again...!!

the se k600 is almost same as this, only diff is that this one has 32mb, k600 has 37mb!

Sony ericsson should make an unique phone. The V600 doesn't have a memory card slot compared to other 3G phones. The camera should be something like 2 megapixel.

wat the **** is wrong with u sonyericson ..... y dont u continue to make better phone than making a phone which is so common althought its 3g but the camera is 1.3 mp u already have 2 y dun u make higher and smart phones isnt it rite who agree with me email me
