yes, no light sucks. when out of the icon menu the words/numbers look a bit enlarged and pixelated - would be nice to see a SE screen higher than 256k colours. i heard vodafone won't stock the w850 til november at earliest.

I obtained this phone when I opened a contract with vodafone sold on the premise that is an upgraded version of the w810i which they have discontinued.

I received the phone, it feels cheap, the camera has no flash and the pics aren't great, the sound is excellent through the speakers and would expect that from an MP3 player.

It lacks features and would expect it to be a cheap budget phone. I've paid to exchange it with the K800i - Hope I've made the right decision. The new phones out from other networks aren't particularly nice.

The new W800 does look like its a nice phone, wish it was out sooner :(

To: Vodafone AU - Will the W850 be released soon as the W850 and V630 were announced at the same time.

this phone supports the stereo bluetooth headset HBH-DS970 so you can enjoy mp3 music via wireless bluetooth headset.

w800 / w810 does NOT support any kind of stereo bluetooth headset.

Really light weight handset however feels very flimsy, impressive built in themes however vodafone software kinda ruins it.

Unless you are a huge user of 3G, it would probably be smarter to get the W810 or if you are a bit short of cash try a W800 (be weary of the joystick on the w800 though)

Im about to play with one of these now, looks pretty good from specs, i hate the vodafone software though.

I have a 6280 and ive had to send it to nokia 3 times now *its still with them now*

Hopefully SE can provide a better handset.

I work at Vodafone AU, and i will tell you now DONT get this phone. The vodafone live software ruins the entire handset. Cought up a little bit more and get a w800i/10i. Unless you are a huge 3G user its pointless to get the v630

It's supposed to immitate the walkman series, hence the black and orange. Sony Ericsson haven't released a another unique series that's warranted a new colour. Although it's only available at Vodafone, it's relatively cheap and free to unlock

SE is cool, but the color....

I just don't get why all phones have to be black nowadays! Especially black & orange seems to be the only thing SE can produce. Black & Orange are matching colors, but make it a bit more fun, not so flat.

Color does matter, and SE hasn't got a very "artistic" touch with their mobiles. Let's not even talk about the plastic they use...

One of the most beutiful phones in the market,
the details, the finishing from the back and the sides is perfect!!!

I hope its not amputated like the rest of the vodafone menu handsets
(no free transfer of java aplications/games and pics via bluetooth)
