Anonymous, 27 Mar 2010is there an eq for the media player ? cant seem to find it? cheersIt's available for dwnld at PlayNow.
Yes I turned vibration off as well and was impressed.
SPB Software are porting their popular Mobile Shell windows mobile app to Symbian and I will be switching the interface to this whenever it's available. There is enough ram and processor speed in the Vivaz to handle such an app.
The only thing I will miss is the media player icons on the standby screen a widget could sort that out.
All in all I love this phone, just not sure on the vanilla interface, it is the sexiest phone to appear in years and will appeal to the fashion masses.
hime, 27 Mar 2010hi chris. im singaporean too. have been here for quite a few days reading comments ppl wrote h... moreHi Hime. I suppose at the end of the day, the decision to get a phone with a smaller screen or not comes down to taste. For myself, I wanted the Vivaz because of its size and weight. As you can undoubtedly surmise, it is an impressive piece of hardware, considering the amount of specs in such a small package (the Vivaz uses golden sample CPUs, to the best of my knowledge, allowing it to not only function as a smartphone with fast response times, but also to be able to capture HD videos as well as play them.
Like I said in my earlier post, my gripe with the Vivaz is the picture quality in low light areas indoors (which would be fixed with future firmware updates, with better algorithms and a flash functioning in bursts), as well as the user interface (which can be improved with custom themes and programs such as vMenu and My Keylock). :)
is there an eq for the media player ? cant seem to find it? cheers
Ryan , 27 Mar 2010At last someone who talks sense and is not all about fighting about whos phone is better than ... moreI concur, Ryan: this is one of the pitfalls of consumerism - a company's consumer base would inevitably have loyal followers no matter what.
For myself, I choose to look at the technology, the pros and cons behind it, and the execution and implementation of the said technology, regardless of the brand. For example, Xenon flash is better than led flash MOSTLY, although if the implementation of the xenon flash is shoddy, it could render it either on par with led or worse still, worse than it. Just like the debate over capacitive touchscreen panels versus resistive ones; A resistive panel, when manufactured to a proper standard (like the Vivaz) could be close to a capacitive one, if not just as good. :)
The hype of the Vivaz is wearing off with the looming monstrosity of technological advancement known simply as the X10.
hi chris. im singaporean too. have been here for quite a few days reading comments ppl wrote here. wanna get a phone, wanted to wait for x10 before decide wanna get x10 or vivaz. ur comments to me is quite useful and i find x10 screen might a bit big... i think vivaz is just nice
