> In reply to Rahul @ 2010-02-20 08:43 from 2STB - click to readDear Rahul,
Please don't even bother replying on ryk. Because the truth is that all he wants is to bash SE. I have seen most of his comments for some time now, and you must trust me when I tell you all he does is bash SE and try to make them look bad. He is not fair, he has no logic, his ideas are even pathetic and funny sometimes.
So my advice for you is not to waste your time with him, he just can't stand how strong and admirable SE are, and the more he looks at fans the more he gets crazier. Well, I guess this is what we could call a loser.

> In reply to ryk @ 2010-02-19 20:34 from PId} - click to readDude, when someone does something for the first time, then some flaws with that work is natural. That is what happened with Satio (I am a Satio user), but the software update solved most of the problem. And what do you think Sony Ericsson is? A baby sitter company learning to make mobile? Listen dude, they were the BEST, the last two months where horrible for them, but that doesn't mean they are CRAP.
I am sure that the Symbian phones from Sony Ericsson after Satio wont have bugs (Can't help if an idiot like Nokia can't solve by itself, but it is open source now, so Sony Ericsson can do it for itself). And you mean to say this phone wont stand in front of N97? Get a Life.. This is a N97 mini KILLER!!! You will see that yourself, just wait and watch..

I'm (seriously) not going to reply to some crazy post. They claim that I bash Sony Ericsson but all I do is draw comparison between phones that are placed in the same segment of the market. Both has Symbian (which by the way has been made open source by Nokia), both has Series 60 (owned and developed by Nokia), Both has a 5 MP camera, 3.2 inches nHD resistive touchscreen (decided to be standard for Symbian by Nokia), full QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA & Wifi, also GPS (Nokia phones comes with free lifetime turn by turn voice guided navigation license), TV out.
Ofcourse Vivaz pro has its positives like faster clocked processor, better video recording @ HD 720p and N97 mini has larger in built memory @ 8 GB, has basic useful features like proximity sensor and secondary videocall camera (both of which are missing on Vivaz Pro).
Also its already out and has been tried and tested. See this for more : http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_...w-417p12.php
And Sony ericsson has recently created a bad reputation with X2/Idou/Aino. How do I believe it'll not go down the same path.
As a phone user I would like to have more features to use than probably the unnoticeable fast processing power of the phone. N97 mini isn't slow anyway.
I don't want a phone without secondary front facing camera as I can't do without videocall. I would love to have added functionality that my phone is capable of.
Looking at both the brands, Nokia is number one, Numero Uno. And its ascending uphill with touchscreen devices. Sony Ericsson is already down the hill, don't know where they'll go from here.
But Vivaz Pro is still not out yet. Hopefully it'll not be buggy as Idou or Aino. But I don't think it'll be anywhere close to the aura of N97 mini.

You on the other hand, are trying to prove that the nokia n97 mini is better LooL! How ironic :)
Although the mini has half the ram, half the CPU, half the battery life. Plus, the vivaz pro has HD recording.
You claim that the mini is a better choice? Do you see the huge difference between you and him?
Both of you are not fans of SE, but one is man enough to admit that a device is good, the other is hmmm I prefer not to say :D

Look ryk in the beginning I though you had a point of view and some good experience, but for my disappointment all you are is a person who keeps bashing SE and in return SE keeps kicking us as* lol.
Just drop it will ya? I would like to see one useful comment, talk about any other thing. Why only bash SE? I understand you hate them but you just have to learn to live it :D
Billions of people love and believe in SE, so not you, and not even a million can change this simple fact :>

> In reply to Spawner @ 2010-02-19 17:07 from vxtq - click to readI completely agree with you Spawner. Vivaz pro is far better than Xperia X2 or Idou or Aino. It is interesting though that Sony Ericsson has completely shelved its previous touchscreen interface and are starting off afresh. What better than Nokia's often proven S60 to do that. With Vivaz pro they have seriously challenged Nokia's own phones. N97 mini in particular. But have a look at this :
http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_e...res-3075.php
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_...res-2921.php
If somebody ask me what would you choose, looking at Sony Ericsson's and Nokia's past record I'd say mini.
Symbian is now open source. It is a high possibility that Nokia might upgrade N97 mini to Symbain^3 which Nokia has developed. Sony Ericsson is in some trouble and they would rather make money than waste resources upgrading sold phones.
That's my opinion, what do you say?

I have tried them all (only Blacberry OS is 'virgin' for me) and Symbian is the best so far, without any doubt.

They are almost ready to "attack" Nokia, Samsung, and other companies with very advanced phones. Sharp said they will enter with smartphones, Panasonic will make Android smartphones, I don't NOT invented this.

> In reply to klcc @ 2010-02-18 17:52 from ibmH - click to readHonestly, it is just a matter of taste. Never put your choice based on people's opinions. What Symbian can do, you may also do it with WinMo. Only there's a few things visible as specific characteristic of each system: Symbian needs less RAM capacity compared to WinMo to run properly, but it lacks the stability of WinMo. The most annoying thing on WinMo (for me) is untill now it supports 65 k color display only. But if it wouldn't be a problem, then again I would say the choice is up yours.
