I have several mp3s on my pc that i want to get onto my w200, i bought a cable of the net as i had lost my usb data cable but now it will add the files to my phone but thay wont play, is there anything that i can do to get them to work?

I've bought my W200i 3 months ago & i've noticed the sound quality specially MEGA BASS is not as much powerfull as K750i or W810i, are u facing the same prob as well ?
i've tried using the same handsfree which comes with W810i in box pack but still there was a huge difference in sound quality, K750 & W810 are much louder as compared to w200 & i'm so much dissopointed, is there any patch or some thing from which the sound can be more powerfull & louder which can shake my brain out ... ?

Ah. I wasn't aware that setting a ringtone was dependant on the firmware... What are the telcos thinking - how can a person illegally share music by setting it as a ringtone..!?
My phone was an import bought in New Zealand (came from Malaysia / China region) and is not branded and is not locked... Maybe that is why... As far as I am aware, the vodafone locked W200 here can set MP3's as ringtones, but I guess that is firmware dependant... Thanks for the headsup~

This means that your service provider hasn't locked the feature inside the phone. If your phone is branded you have to PAY your service provider to use their ringtones. I for example live in Canada and use Rogers(AT&T) I've figured out a workaround for my sony ericsson w580i but am still working on one for my bf's w200.

i am using this mobile for 1 month. I think this is the best mobile in its price range.The main feature is music.And i think the sound quality is very good(better than nokia,lg,samsung phones is that section).camera is bad.The ph is quite fast and very easy to operate.U can upgrade it up to 2gb with a m2 card(i am using a 1gb card,the response is very good).
overall the w200i is very good cell.If u ask me i ll definitely suggest u to buy the cell.

The reasons as to why the audio may not sound clear... Check and make sure your video files have an audio sampling rate of 112kbs or over (but not as high as 320kbs) Sampling frequency should be 44100Hz to ensure phone stability. If that doesn't work, try cleaning the metal contacts for the earphones...
Playlist will need to be updated with files are removed or added.
The W200 is not designed to take pictures in the first place... Although the camera can force 1.3MP, the best quality is 0.3MP (VGA Resolution at 640 by 480) on the FINE setting. Nightmode should be disabled in bright conditions to prevent image processing bugs that the W200 firmware is known for...
