Just a thing i can't understand, and this is the way to display video:
If you open a video through file manager, you CAN flip it orizontally but you CAN'T fast forward it or review.
..Instead..
If you open a video through the walkman application, you CAN go forward or review with the central button but you CAN'T flip the video. THis sucks, because some long clips are best displayed in the flipped way (fullscreen) but if they're 30 mins long and you want to go at minute 20, you have to see all the clip (or otherwise u can do this but seeing it in a small window.)

> In reply to Vijay @ 2008-11-07 12:53 from P$xcOk, here are the instructions.

First, make sure that you move the MP3 files into the correct folder onto the card (SE phones have their own file navigation structure, so if the music files are not in the appropriate folder, they will not show up in the File Manager). Simply saying, make sure you can see the file in the File Manager.

In your case, go to MENU, FILE MANAGER, and SOUNDS. Go to the song you want to set as a ringtone. When you have done that, press MORE (the right softkey), and select USE AS. Here, you are given a list of options. To set your selected song as a ringtone, simply select RINGTONE. And you are done! That is all there is to it~

Alternatively, you can go to MENU, SETTINGS, SOUNDS AND ALERTS, RINGTONES, and set up your ringtone from there.

Hope that helps.

You CAN set a MP3 from the memory card as a ringtone. I can do this with the alarm sounds as well... I am not sure why some people are saying that setting a MP3 from memory card as a ringtone is not possible...

As for the 8GB and larger M2 cards, the fact that the phone is not displaying the correct memory space I think means that the phone is not designed for larger cards software-wise. It can also mean that the phone is not physically designed to take on a 8GB card. It is because of this that I chose a Sony 4GB over a 8GB. Just wait till Christmas, the 8GB will be about US$60....
I bought my 4GB for about US$24

Hey guys, have you tried to play play .mp4 videos on this phone?
Mine has a slight problem on certain videos.
Sometimes, at the beginning part of the video, the sound just cuts and stops for a moment with the video still running. After a few seconds, the sound comes back to normal again.
Anybody experienced this problem?
I already formatted my memory card and recopy the video but the same problem happens. When I play the video in my computer, it works fine.
Any suggestions???

Works with 8GB M2 card well. Perfomance is the same as with my stock 512MB card.

I wanted to buy 4GB card, but in my shop 4GB from Sony was at 40$ and 8GB from Sundisk was at 55$, so I decided to get 8GB and investigate will it work on not. I am happy, it works. However I haven't too enough music now :)

The only issue is in displaying free card space via phone menu, it thinks that it's a 4GB card: so it shows 3500+MB of free space than 8GB card is empty and 100MB free than 4.1GB actually free. After you copy more than 4GB of data, as example 4.5GB, it will show real ~3200MB of free. So if you write not a lot of data, keep in mind that you have another 4GB "hidden" for a future :).

Than plugging phone via USB cable to PC, it always shows true 8GB of data and real free space. File system is FAT32 on my Sandisk 8GB and FAT16 on Sandisk 512MB, that I get with phone from box.

So maybe new 16GB card will also work? Someone maybe try it?) With these new cards W200i becomes as large with space for MP3s as iPhone :)
