no problems with the keypad, i dont really mind it, a bit close but definately manageble
really nice phone, i just got mine 2 days ago.

Asked the service why it does not have 3g, well if it has 3g it will be quite bulky & abit heavy like w850i.And many people did not really use 3G that offen, thats is why SE make it slimer and lighter and of course no 3G. We have pro and con though.
In the end, SE rock!!!

the walkman button needs to be pressed in order to use the "shake" function.

the change mechanism needs the walkman button to be pressed to work so it won't do it in your pocket when your walking about. Also it doesn't need a massive shake just a wee flick

you know how this phone has the change mechanism. While on the walkman mode, just by walking with it in your pocket or bag and the phone shakes will the song change really easily.'m scared i might get annoyed by it.

W580 vs W880

w580
Slider phone, Radio, 512mb card included, great design, bigger screen, EDGE and finally pedometer :P
well...now you decide :P
i personally will go for w580.

the s500 is cheaper and has that 'green ink' keypad problem (recognized by SE).
the w580 is more sport oriented, has a motion sensor.

personally, I prefer the w580 :)
even the desifn is better... imho

hi guys,
just upgraded to the W580 in greay only had it 3 days an numbers 6 n 7 have craked...so i think its all s700's an w580's 2 b fair, im gna go in the o2 shop tho an see if they will xchange it 4 anuva 1 cus apart from the crackin i love this phone

I am from canada and i see that rogers have it selling it for $299 with no terms, does that mean theres no contract and all i have to do is put my rogers SIM card in there and it'll work?

since this cell doesnt have auto-focus and flash, can someone please tell me how bad the camera in this phone is?? if at all that is.
for me camera quality isnt a priority but i just want to know.

Im concerned at the fact that the sony ericsson site mentions that the phone can only handle a 1 GB Memory Stick Micro. Is this true? It'd be a shame if it was.

hey
i was planning on purchasing this mobile but im still not sure what colour to buy it in- the grey or the white. Does anyone know where i could see the white one in the uk so i can solve this decision because i can't find one shop that sells the white one.
