thats wats spoiling the last s/e fones just out or coming out is lack of auto focus,,Just had the w880 out and is a superb fone but dont ask me how i missed that it had no auto focus so exchanged for k800i..OK it not the end of world but now i will not go back to ANY fone withpout auto focus its just a neccessity now as is the quarte vga screen..REmember the t610 how did we use it then we just did but s/e should not copy nokia just churning out mobile after mobile to fill their portfolio they should concentrate on
1) A camcorder type fone with just normal music player but full of video orientated features(handycam) 2)intrduce a selection of series 60 phones
3)a set of small fones in the cybershot range
4)A monster of a beast with the whole lot in.
I am not a dreamer but s/e needs fones to fill these gaps but the last set of fones are just rehashes of the same thing..I would also like to add that sony is renowned for quality and small high spec electronics ( i was buying their megabass ghetto blasters 22 years ago and they were good quality and high spec but small) and along with a good fone manufacture ericsson and sony doing quality mobiles themselves should leave the bandwagon and just come up with something unque that will blow us all away...So in short s/e stop for i while churning out wat all others are doing and sit down and do what youve done in past and bring out feature full,, high quality high spec gadget mobiles that i know you can do and get back up that leader board where i personnelly think you should be,,and you think you should be.
Things you have at you disposal are cybershot,,handycam,,walkman,,1.9 inch qvga screen (for outer screen on clamshell perhaps),,years of experiance,,3 huge game consoles (could you bring that to mobile and have tv output)also maybe you could split from ericsson and just be sony again then you call all the shots ???

This phone is to be released Stateside first (USA). The lighting on the phone really rocks as you slide it up and it is a great phone for all the fat people out there because it comes with a built in pedometer!!!

i think you all SE dudes should watch out the May 8 announcements from SE. source said that 3 UIQ and two non-OS mid/high enders are to be released.

i really like this phone in grey n blue plz send grey n blue col. in pakistan as soon as possible i wanna buy it n trust me therez nthg better than se but ive heard that its sw is gtn changed 4rm q2 but i hope it wont b like nokia n will definately have screen saver n wallpaper option built in unlike nokia n it does have a gud btry like w550 n if dsnt hv bith of these thgs do let me knw then i wont change my n73

phones are not meant to be a good quality camera the more the compact the more sox in image... the the gps thing y would i get a phone with gps u can a full dedicated half the price with subcription... and one more thing the processor of the N95 good luck on multi tasking the unit

to Bad Boy:
if you like N95 so much, go and get one! just don't compare a 200 or 300€ phone to a stupidly high-priced N95, that costs like 800€. I wouldn't get that Nokia even if it was the last phone on Earth. My SE works really well (it's a phone!), and so does my Nikon 10MP digital camera. Oh, forgot to mention that my Garmin Nuvi 660 is simply the best gps around. Why would I need to buy that stupid N95 with gps that you need to pay for?

I have a SE710a and considering upgrading to this W580. Am I loosing any functionality by upgrading to this? Am I gaining anything? I noticed it isn't 3G enabled. When using in the U.S. with Cingular(At&t) is 3g important?
