Wow! Skinny phone is the in thing today haa!
but I rather love small and stubby phone..looks cute!Skinny phone tends to feel delicate and fragile.Its a matter of preference though...

Another possible reason behind that bottom curve could be that it serves as a pulling point for when you slide (pushing motion) the phone open. Your ring finger and/or pinky would stay on that curve as your thumb slides the phone up.

I actually like that the bottom of the phone is curved like that. I suppose that the reasoning behind that is to feel the bottom of the phone when taking it out of your pocket. When I take my W810i out of my pocket I can't feel which is the front/top/bottom.

i like the new design. i was getting tired of bar-phones! all thats missing now is auto-focus. i'm gonna trade in my w810 for on of those when they are released.

I think there should not be any sliding projection to the back side of hand set and it must have the focus like k750.

the phone's display is 2". No autofocus feature is available on W580.

i think this phone will be launched with few months to wait. SE has already finished it's software and hardware fixations.

why has no autofocus??? it could have been much smaller also! otherwise, I find it just ok. unfortunately it's not THE Phone and when have the 3.2 mpxls camera, hey!?!?! thumbs up for the slide though... :)

I have begun to fall in love with the sony ericsson brand and its phones.
I have a few questions that need answering
1. Is the w-series music/sound quality more suprerior then the k-series?
2. Should I wait for the fall for this phone or get a SE phone currently availible? What are the perks to waiting for this beautifully designed phone?
(Note: I have played around with the w810 and K800. Is the w580 worth waiting for and any word on the price? even an estimate?)

Nice slider phone from SE and leave it to them morons to make that bottom side curved like that. What a waste of a phone..
