heya...i finally speak out after using this phone 4 abt 8 months. WOW!! W580i Rocks! although the keypad is fragile, soft handling fixes the problem. its walkman, EXCELLENT display, sleekness, multicolour side lights r unique. Hey Hey and this is a strong phone of its class(i myself dropped it atleast 4 times scattering the battery and back panel out but still works fine). even with 1GB of data its response is quick.the camera is decent...

A good phone for carefull users and i suggest scratchproof black colour model for better looks.

I have this phone just over a month now. So far I'm enjoying it. The only negative is the short battery life. Otherwise, I think I made a good investment.

one of the best music phone i ever came across.phone display,stereo sound system,photo call n everything.i say u its simply supreb n sexy.

hey everyone :-) hows everybody? i am going to buy this sony w580i but is this phone really bad? i heard lots of bad opinion bout this phone. Can anyone tell me the truth bout this phone please :'-( ... firstly, is the keypad easily cracked? second,how long does the battery life last? i mean how good is the battery life? first time charging is how long? I never seen a useless phone like this. I purchased yhis phone on 10 oct 2007 and during this 11 months my phone was 3 months in the service centre for 3 times.
Demerits.
1.Bateery backup
2. Kepad cracking
3.Display problem
4.speaker problem

My song ericsson phone is terrible, aside from the buttons cracking, my return button and the button attached to it, does not work. and the camera button rarely works. is anyone else having this problem?

This is a lovely phone, but within 2 months of having it the keys cracked and it refused to accept the memory card. I'd put it in but it wasn't picked up by the handset.

After 4 months of repairs I'm trading in... when it breaks it really breaks

The phone is really good. Downside it does not have a flash so forget those nights out pics. Major thing: the keypad buttons crack one by one. The actual button splits in two. I have had mine repaired twice. This time i really want something done about it as i do look after my phones.

580 is really good, considering to upgrade, only thing is... no light? Flashlight is one of the best features of my phone! maaaaaan....

PS- Tell your friend in Sony I want a W61S for the rest of the world :P

I need to think about the battery life everytime I touch the phone, listen to music etc. what the F is wrong with the battery???

really bad phone. buttons crack, turns itself off, buttons fall off and then its knackered

U have to agree with me Sony Erickson rocks. I just replaced my w750i with this phone days ago but i just love everything about it.I have no problem with any of the Sony Erickson models.
