Best phone ever from se,had it 3 years now and still going storng changed the body once,very fast os no lag,music quality is awesome,i added 2 moto e398 stereo speakers to it so its the loudest phone today compared to the newer se phones se w610i rocks

The phone battery is on where to be found and it's so poor it runs down very fast too

well i like this phone because of its shape and keypad.it having a good quality of sound and main thig is that having expandable memory.it is awsome ,fabulous................

Guys i just wanna ask if you can use the casing of K550i for W610i? I wanna have the casing replace cause the latch in the battery cover is already broken and it just slides out. I cant seem to find casing for this, even Sony Ericsson shops no longer carries it. TIA!

> In reply to anonymus @ 2009-09-11 00:46 from LskqI think your problem with the purple spot on the screen is from u placing the phone next to a magnetic object or the magnet from the clip of the cell phone case.....magnet tends to damage the screen in cellphones or devices that have an LCD screen so avoid cases with magnetic clousure...the magnet pulls the ink in the LCD into one area...sometimes it returns to normal if u r lucky...

Sony ericsson w610 is so good a user-friendly phone. The sound quality when you listen using headphone is nice. In addition, the phone comes with flash light so that you can use it as torch at night when you can't see anything. Moreover, the contact list of this phone is convenient too. You can add several phone numbers for a person in contact list. Every plus there is a minus, this phone equipped with 2 mega pixels camera but the picture quality is not kind of good. It is less clear than sony ericsson k750. Anyway, i like this phone and it cost only 135 us dollars when i bought it 6 months ago. Now i think the price will be approximately 125 or less than that. I recommend this phone to those the sony ericsson user.

I am using it from last 2 Yrs and i am not having any dots on it.
By the way its really a gr8 phone, rocking sound with xaero ma acoustics and camera clearity in daylight even beats Nokia 3 mp cams...........

well....its a very good phone but there is a huge problem with this phone every single one after maybe 3 months or more it gets a big purple circle on the screen and its no because you drop it...its because its the phone.....


over all its great but thats the problem i have with it

1)You are correct you cannot listen to the radio when the phone is being charged, but that is because the wire that is connected to your ear phones is the antenna.

Other than that, if I had the choice I would buy it again. :)

2)The speakers are extremely good they blow any phone of this range, out of the water (good job Sony). They are very loud, good quality and I use them whenever I can.

3)I haven't had any problems with the keypad, the phone is small so they keys are small as well.

The only drawback would be that the menu shortcut cannot be changed which you can also find it by pressing the orange play/stop button in the center of the keypad.

4)Obviously, if you have pressed the start/stop button on the side of the device the song stop abruptly, rather than increasing/decreasing the volume buttons.

If you want to check the status of your phone, you cannot while a song is playing you will hit the increase/decrease the volume. Hence, just press the stop button and check your status.

6)Obviously, the song will stop playing when you want to record a video. When you record, you want to pick up the sounds of what you are recording.


My Feedback on the phone+++

Texting: it allows you to put your own words in your dictionary.

It doesn't take long to charge.

The color orange of the phone is what made me purchase it, it's gorgeous.

Ear phones are very good, and better when you change the equalizer to your own taste.

The memory card is very accessible.

Speakers are loud and useful, when you're out and you want something to listen to.

The pictures look great for a 2MP camera, tho the flash is a flashlight, but illuminates well in any case.

The flashlight is bright and I use it often.

The menu is well set up.

Song track id is good, if you don't know the same of the song you are listening to, it can look it up for you.

drawbacks:

I bought an 8gb memory card and I have over 900 songs on my phone, although, I have to reboot it to load all the songs into my play list(I do the same with a computer with updates.

The picture has a few seconds of saving time before it is saved, you might miss the shot you want. No zoom on the camera, you can only zoom once you have taken the picture.

this is one of the most pathetic mobiles i have ever used.the only thng it is good at is its price which is quietlow in my country otherwise i hate it having in ma pocket.the orange back made fun of me in front of my fellows.

I recommend to use VGA mode for zooming~
Use 2mp mode to capture and edit it to zoom which part you want and save it. I've test it, it is much clearer than the VGA zoom.Honestly,VGA zooming is useless.
Telling the truth, I feel little bit of annoyed playing my music and i cant even see my phone status by pressing the "next" button too, but my tips is go to menu , press"#", and move up to find phone status, it is much better than scrolling down many options.
And one more thing, when night time you intend to capture an object photo, on your light, do not too close to the object due to blur after you capture,keep a distance with the object. And edit it and zoom the part you want and save.

i have had this phone for nearly a year. it is quite nice a phone. no error but a little bit problem with camera. 2 megapixels like other sony ericsson phone but the quality of the picture is not good. however, the sound quality when listening using headset is spellbinding.

Awesome phone, 2years and still going strong, even after being dropped and thrown around many many times. Love the bright flashlight too!

i have this phone....it is entertaining and functional at the same time. Its a good phone with all the features but with all the flashiness

I'm buying a new phone.. I'm choosing between this one and the samsung star. Which is more reliable? Whis is better? I haven't owned touch phones before but I know i can adapt to it..
