you should choose SE K550/W610 over the opposite for these reasons:
1.Quality camera, albeit not as qualitative as K750 but still better.
2.Quality Sound: all SEs have relatively good sound render ever since K700 was released(take note that K700 dont ven have megabass eq)
3.Excellent intuiiveness of the GUI while providing the neccessary user friendliness for all users - no other phone in the market can match the number of animations and logicalness of the overall UI. but the upcoming iphone is a very good competitor to these.
4.Battery life - W880 even proved us that even in a sheer slimness battery life is never compromised by SE, all in all, SE battery is excellent.
5.Solid build quality - SE always offer us solid and non creaky feeling when holding any of their phones, some issues like looseness but that doesn't mean that it is fragile.
6. If you have seen any of it's phones which uses netfront 3 browser, you may distinguish that SE phones with netfront 3 browser(including the two) can view pages like what a desktop can do, even though they lack all features found on standard browsers in PC(but hey it's still a mobile phone right?)
just like noname, i'm also a former nokia user, but i have realized that SE suits me better so have a good desicion over those things on your own choice, happy choosing!!!;D

ASN…I can’t comment on Nokia (I personally got tired of it) I like I bought SE for a change, and between K550i and W610i (which I own) they are almost identical with W610i has a MegaBass feature (which is great by the way) and it’s the latest among the two. Personally I like w610i because of its slick design. I’ll go with the W610i
Sharon…yes, you must first eject it at “My documents” before you can eject it at “removable drive icon” at your taskbar.

Thank you for those that had reply my problem..=)Finally i able to disconnect it thru "My Computer". If i reject it by selecting the removable icon, it can't works. Not sure whether it is my phone problem..=(
Anyway, this is my 1st SE phone, and i love it so much..worth to buy it!!

YES!! it does solve (or cause) the problem. my bad! i guess because the camera button is more exposed in the W610i, i didn't realise i was pressing it while composing my messages. thanks mnd! this has put my mind to rest, and saved me a trip to a service center! lol

yes after you have ejected both the phone and phone card external drivers, you can just go ahead and pull the USB connector out. then the phone returns to the standby screen on its own.

Hello everyone!!! I would like to buy such a phone but... how much does it costs? I've heared that in Moldova this Phone costs from 300$-400$!!! is it true???...and where can I find such a phone cheaper? aaa???
if to speak about its design and functions... I LIKE IT!!!

u need to watchout 2 things
1.close all folders concerning ur w610i
2.no mobile application shloud be engage
n then u can safely remove ur phone by right clicking on icon

this is really a nice phone, i love it so much!
not me but also my gf, sis, and all my family members!!!
this is slim and class...although it is slim but i wont seem very light like a toy...the metallic speaker cover look cool~~~all thing in this phone is nice!! but if the screen resolution can upgrade to 240x320 then it should be prefect!
the camera look great in the sufficient light condition.
the speaker is loud and nice.
the menu is super fast without lag.
design is super nice.
support video ringtone!
loudspeaker when phoning is super clear.
if u wan to have a new phone, recommend this to u! super nice o~!!!

Hi, try to eject it thru "My Computer" if I'm not mistaken there are two drives (removable ones), right click it and select eject, I think that should work...also try to exit the application that connects your phone with your pc...

Pls help!!
Since i want transfer some files to my phone, i connect my phone to the computer via USB cable by selecting file transfer. After i using, i disconnect it by right click the removable disk icon. But, the phone screen still show can't remove the USB cable until exiting application..how come like this??Is it normal??Can i remove it??
Any expert plss help...thank you for your kind hearted...=)

I bought this phone a week ago (09May), The phone is great IMO, but just like every other electronic equipments, there is some "factory defect", in MY phone, it randomly have a white screen of death, when I watch a video in its video player, after 1 video, the screen will turn black you must press any key to view the video again, I guess its a glitch in my phone, I do have the latest software... and lastly, the back cover (for the battery) is kinda loose...well I guess I will return this one, tough luck for me...

To Panduka, go for this phone dis sounds gud...dont think of K750 coz its 3-4 years old now, w810 is a cool phone too...if u wanna get a nokia one go for N73 or N95.

Sony ericsson w610 the slim and sexy sony.I've been using this phone for more than a month now. I am a hard core user and so i've given my phone a really hard time ;)
What does w610 have in store for us.
Typical Sony ericsson display (clear, bright and a wee bit larger than the w810 and w830 in terms of the size of the screen)
A really good loud speaker
Good external speakers dock along with the package
Super fast repsonsive menus
512mb external memory with 64mb internal memory (supports 2gb cards)
Powerful java gaming
Walkman 2.0 player
Brilliant FM with RDS
EDGE and nifty browser
Good call quality
and Good battery life (lasts more than 36 hours )
Now the description- The phone is really slim and feels good to hold. I generally use the walkman player for around three to four hours a day. Have loaded some 20 + java games and mostly play those games while listening to music. Send some 100 sms and make calls for some 60 minutes. Apart from this i also change wallpapers every two hours and just for the heck of it take some snaps and fiddle with the camera now and then (cos i bought the phone recently). Trust me on this. With all this load on the phone it is able to sustain 60% battery by the time i sleep. The phone also has very good multi tasking capabilities as i can run the walkman in the background, compose msgs and in between play games too. The speed of the game doesnt reduce at all.
The negatives-The buttons on the phone are really small. Really tough to get used to writing msgs on the phone if u have large fat fingers. Many times u end up with typos. For this u have to use your fingers sideways so that you don't press two or more keys at the same time. Camera is not as good as the k750 or w810 as the focus is 1mm lesser.Though it cannot equal the quality of the k750 and cybershot sony phones it is better than all of the other 2Mpx cameras on the other brand phones. The camera is really good in bright light outdoors and the flash light does help in areas with low light.Since the phone has autofocus the photos come out crisp unlike the other brands. The macro mode too is worth mentioning.
As a conclusion if you are looking for good music which u can readily expect from the walkman phones and if u want an all rounder slim phone with all the functionality you can name then w610 (the successor to w810) is the best phone your money can get.

really a piece of work looks grt with all the feature of w810i however lighter in weight with m2 card also in satin black. GRT WORK SONY GuYS EXPECTING MoRe.
