Hey is it necessary to install the PCsuite software to transfer stuff to the phone??
Is it ok to just plug in the USB cable and transfer like an external drive without the software, i mean will it ruin the phone? Thanks for help..
Another thing, what is the deal with the firmware problem for the first batches? How do i know my phone is affected and what do i do?? Much appreciated..

1) W610i the memory is expandable to 4GB with the 4GB MS micro which is out!
2)is the screen TFT or TFD gsmarena stated it as TFD but MobileReview.com stated it as TFT - which one is it ???

you said this phone has a sleepmode.. i just got my w610i and i don't see an option for the sleepmode. can you tell us how to enable the feature.

Well, i have this phone few days ago and i have been using a w810i fot 7 months. im sad to say that the picture quality in w610 is not comparable with w810 pic quality.
-pictures in w610i
1. Kinda blur in close shoots, even using af
2. color balance is weird. indoor shoots may appear little yellow or blue
3. low sharpness.
picture in w810i:
1. autofocus works very well (same shutter delay)
2. color balance is kinda like w610, but a lil better.
3. in long range photos, w810 wont take blur pics.
4. the max filesize of a pic in w810 was 680kb, but with w610 only 430kb. thats make quality difference
Sound quality is almost the same, but the loudspeaker in w610 is louder than w810.
Music player? walkman 2.0 is way better, with ad2p.
design? w610 is slimmer, and the back is so cute
performance? w610 is faster, runs up to 3 appz havent tried with more.
battery? well they both have same batt life, w610 a little bit better. due to energy saving screen.
the only thing i dont like of w610 is the camera... dont undertsand why they make new and worse cameras... i notice the camera lens diameter is smaller in w610. 3.8 to 2.8

wow, i got the phone yeserday nd i cnt stop playin wiv it, the cam is fab andhas got reai gud auto focus, and the bk light is reai usefull 2. when i 1st saw it i thought i looked a bit manly, bt i reai like the shape. the sound quilty is very gud for a sony. go buy 1, its da best phone in a afordable price range. 10/10

After lot of rumors about when this phone would be released in India, it finally arrived on 15th April. On 16th it was with me.
So I had some time with this 14mm thin peace from SE.
I liked this phone. It has got louder voice, fullscreen video playback, lot more supported audio-video formats, support flash themes, Walkman 2.0 interface, auto-focus camera and what not.
I am trying to discover more about this beauty in hand.
Sound is really gr8. And its back is smooth that u would fall in love with it, just by watching its back.
But one thing is there that it has'nt got a camera shutter, so be carefull about the back.

thinking of buying this phone,but no 3G....
actually i m more demand for good quality sound, izit this phone's sound loud n clear? w810i sound is not loud at all, i juz wonder w610i hav loud sound or not?
another question, watz the difference btw TFD n TFT screen?
