the black w660i looks great!!!
what new ideas you want??? some kind of an alien look??? this is a phone, and i agree to a phone look design of SE, and not a damn gameboy looking phone, or camera wanna-be looking phone like other phone brands is doing.

I agree with you AGC.
What a like about SE is that, all their phones have almost the same design. It reminds me of cars. Take Mercedes Benz for example.
I also like the fact that SE produces affordabale phones that look expensive (it looks and feels better than in pictures).
The W660 have some downside but I bet many people would enjoy using it because SE always make reliable phones. The size of SE phones are also small.

Ok two comments which I hope you read because I have owned almost every SE phone you see here in GSM's pages.
1) If you continue to compare each of SE's phones to eachother, you are simply confirming your ignorance as a consumer. You think that SE's engineers' job is to just come up with the "best" design and the "best" features all the time? Do you know anything about market strategies? They could have EASILY put your precious autofocus and flash in this phone, upgraded the screen, and done numerous other things. Why don't they? THEY DON'T WANT TO!!! They are concerned with defining market niches with their phones. And furthermore, do any of you know how long it takes to get a phone from design to the consumer's hand? Maybe some of you do, and you're probably the ones that respect what SE has to offer. Those of you that just complain all the time, you will continue to be dissapointed your entire life because you know nothing of business, market strategy, and manufacturing. We live in a material world that takes ALOT of time to mold. So shut up and give any respect you have to SE and the other mobile manufacturers for doing what you can't, and then giving it to you.
2) Sorry to sound like an @$$hole, but it needs to be said. Now, after all that disagreeing with some of you, I have to agree with one thing that some others have said: The w900i is in fact the most amazing and comprehensive mobile SE has released to date. That's why it's price is still so high, and that's why most of you can still complain about SE's phones...because you've never had a w900. Get one and see for yourself. Otherwise, if you want new new new all the time, and are not concerned with build quality or software, get a Samsung! Hey even I think they look great and have a TON of really upscale features in very slim models. They just simply could never match the build quality of SE.
Any questions or comments about any SE phone, or what I've said here, feel free to post and I'll respond. Even if you hate me now, feel free to say something, it's all welcome.

If this is a budget walkman fone then i guess its ok. but why release a fone with same features as previous hit walkman fones? is this camera better than others?

I think W900 is the best ever walkman , it have 30fps video recorder, great music player, 2.0 mgpixel with autofocus, display 240x320. and use goforce nvidia 4800.

better than w880i-(no fm/bad keypad)
better than w610i-(no 3g/tfd lcd only/no megabase/bad keypad)
w660i - almost perfect walkman if only with autofocus and flash...
my rating - 9/10 i'll buy it!!!:)

I think that Sony are doing exceptionally well with their handsets. All the other manufacturers don't even compare to the spec and reliability that Sony are currently producing.
In my opinion, Sony are the new force in mobile phones.
With respect to the previous comment about the handsets being released are lower spec than the w900i, what about lower tier users? Have you no brains? They are a company and MUSTcater to all walks of life. Get a job and stop moaning.

sorry, i noticed that there isn't any flash for the camera in this thing. that would be a big factor for me. what the heck is sony ericson doing? not putting any flash in the camera.. what's the catch? fones back then were a lot better than today..

Im planning to switch fones from nokia. i think this fone looks great. i do see though that this w660 fone was given low ratings. i wanna know which walkman fone is the best? i noticed that w850 was given best rating amongst all walkman fones. the thing is.. i dont want a sliding fone nor a swivel fone. but i want a walkman/3g fone. wch is d best SE walkman fone can u guys recommend? if im not gonna ask for a non walkman SE fone, for sure ur gonna say k800i, right? thanks for any suggestions..
