had this phone for like a month now or so and its still working as it should be!..

the jostick's still functioning as well as i got it even though i keep on using it and pushing it to its limits..

sound quality with the headphones is EXCELLENT! to bad that the speakers arent quite as loud as my old phone(N6680) but still, i dont regret trading it in for this phone! :D...

i really dont think the autofocus found on the k750 and w800 is that important...all you need is to be careful and have a steady hand when taking pics...whats important is that it has a 2MP cam...and thats all you'd be needing...anyways, nokia phones dont have autofocus and so do other brands!...

i really recommend this phone to those planning to buy a phone right now! its worth your money!.. ;)..here in the philippines, its going for about 14.5K-15k, about $230-$260...

Dear JP,

Can you please tell me whether this phone (W700) support teleconference (multicall).....That means when one call is on...I receive one more call and I speak to both together (it is there in some nokia phones).....Thanks in advance

auto focus is not important in my opinion, I have taken some great pics with the camera. It has a zoom feature yes. does the lack of autofocus reduce clarity? in my opinion no. Just take pics with a steady hand on the right settings and you'll get a great snap.

I have never used a w550 so can't compare. My 1gb card coming tomorrow can't wait to fill it up with music....

All cards have the same read/write spead so it won't slow the phone. As long as you stick to the file structure (save things to the right folders) on the card. It should remain at optimum operating speeds.

btw, the phone has enough cache to theoretically address a card upto 4gb! so it'll take current 2gb and 1gb cards fine.

W700i lacks autofocus. Is autofocus mechanical or software controlled. If it is software controlled can the firmware or anything be upgraded in the w700 to include autofocus?

it is newer and better than the k750 which is now dated and old. it is more aesthetically pleasing then the k750i.

I had the choice between the k750 and w700 I made the right choice, so should you.

W700!!!

No autofocus and no edge, but it is a great phone, and pictures are excellent from the camera. It comes with a price tag to reflect this, it is a bargain phone loaded with the most important features! a 1GB card will cost less than £29 but you do get a 256mb with it.

It supports mp3, mp4, AAC, 3gpp and WAV files.

Ringtones can be assigned from card or phone.

you can set it to vibrate and ring if you want.

it can download apps/games/files

of course it has profiles all phones do.

Anyone else want me to do their researh for them?

Hi,

wanted to know whats the format of the video files supported by this fone?
Can it download software and applications?
Does it ring and vibrate both at the same time?
Does it have profiles i.e Loud, Silent etc
Can the sounds stored in the memory/sim card assigned? or only phone memory ones can be assigned to callers? Please help

Joystick is absolutely fine, I haven't left the phone alone for the last lot of days...

yes, hold in the return key to escape whatever menu your in. (the button with the turned arrow)

Changing the GUI to a menu list is not possible, but once you go into the sub menus they are all lists. Use the number shortcuts for easy navigation, it's great!

A real nice phone, excellent value and now comes with a 2yr warranty in the EU.
