No autofocus? This is lacking one of the best part of W800. I'll buy W810.

plz every body I say plz U DO NOT NEED TO WORRY IF U DON'T LIKE THE DESIGHN COZ DAT JUST MEANS U R NOT gonna get it!!any way fiz focus auto focus dat not much difference coz i'm gonna get it fre (I Work with sony)so it is still excellent

Hey guys the only diffs between w800 and w700 are...
1. w800 ships with 512MB MS while w700 ships with only 256MB MS.
2. w800 has cam autofocus but w700 dosent.
point 2 has alot of effect on the price as autofocus is a very good and expensive when installed in phones.

And lets be honest, i think the w600 , w550 don't look good. And guys in life if something works, you stick with it. The design for the w800 is the best i've seen so why change it,
Look at the razr, That phone is about 50% of motorola's income, now if ur head of motorola are you really going to alter that design? NOpe

DJblakel we need more people like you. Isn't it obvious that the W800 was a hit phone , but i hear people say the didn't like the orange and the phone is somewhat price. So hmm if ur sony why not expand marketshare by creating the a cheaper walkman phone, All you do is reduce the memory card take out the autofocus and wah lah, basically a walkman W800 for 100 dollars or so less

as i said. the reason why it is being released again is because of how well it is selling (K750i and w800i)
it is being re released because.
upgraded design. some people did not like the look for the white and orange theme. this theme is alot more "cleaner" looking and wil attract new buyers. More buyers the better for SE, dont you think?
it has an upgraded MP3 firmware. it is more stable than the w800 and 750. better organisation design will result in less crashes/confusion on MP3 organisation.
bigger memory card. means just that, more memory.
in all other aspects, it is still the same phone, just better built, better desing and more memory to simply attract new users. SE will continue to bring out more models of phones, but at the same time. keep at the origonal theme everyone knows and loves. as this will keep sales rolling in.
anyways. why is everyone starting to bag out the w700 because "its the same desing"? for the ppl who dont know. this desing has been here since 2001 with the k700 and T610!.

why are we still using this design. features you are the boss, performance grade a, design boring...next! please stop making these annoying little boxes and give your fans something to really look forward to. motorolla had the razr but that was beauty with no intelligence. sony ericsson please give us a hot sexy design we know you can do it! love

To the People who are banging on about how much his fone is the same as the w800 will u please be quiet.
The w800, features and design wise, rocks. I own one myself, but for the people who aint too keen on the design (ie my mother) and still want a great fone features wise the w700 is perfect. Personally i love the new design, i think its classy and appeals to ppl other than in the 20somethings, which for the last few months thats all they have catered for.
At the end of the day this fone looks good and is good so why are you all slating it?

W700 har fixfocus, whereas W800 has autofocus. There are some other slight changes too, and the W700 will be cheaper.

Its just another model of W800 in addition to K750, W810 and D750 so many model...just like samsung D series.
perhaps its about style am I right?

the W700 has an updated music player.
thats basicly it..
whats wrong with SE updating their main selling phones? obviosusly its selling well enough to do so.
this may attract new users, different colour set out.. i am a SE fan but i must say i was not a fan of white on orange, but i if i could now i would choose this over the k750 because of the MP3 layout.
and altho its not said, the W700 will have autofocus.
