why are we still using this design. features you are the boss, performance grade a, design boring...next! please stop making these annoying little boxes and give your fans something to really look forward to. motorolla had the razr but that was beauty with no intelligence. sony ericsson please give us a hot sexy design we know you can do it! love

To the People who are banging on about how much his fone is the same as the w800 will u please be quiet.
The w800, features and design wise, rocks. I own one myself, but for the people who aint too keen on the design (ie my mother) and still want a great fone features wise the w700 is perfect. Personally i love the new design, i think its classy and appeals to ppl other than in the 20somethings, which for the last few months thats all they have catered for.
At the end of the day this fone looks good and is good so why are you all slating it?

W700 har fixfocus, whereas W800 has autofocus. There are some other slight changes too, and the W700 will be cheaper.

Its just another model of W800 in addition to K750, W810 and D750 so many model...just like samsung D series.
perhaps its about style am I right?

the W700 has an updated music player.
thats basicly it..
whats wrong with SE updating their main selling phones? obviosusly its selling well enough to do so.
this may attract new users, different colour set out.. i am a SE fan but i must say i was not a fan of white on orange, but i if i could now i would choose this over the k750 because of the MP3 layout.
and altho its not said, the W700 will have autofocus.

I don't see much point in bringing out this phone- with k 750i, w800i, w810i already out, but you can't really blame either Sony or Ericsson for selling out- who doesn't love money???

is it worth it to get the W700 or the W800? pricewise, functionwise, and designwise. i was thinkin about getting the w800 now this is about to be released. hmm.. wats more worth it? and is the camera that much of a difference or can u not even tell?

Tht's 3 differences between SE W700i n W800i :
1. AUTO FOCUS
-W800i built-in this function whereas SE cancel this function in W700i . This made the image slightly worse than W800i although its cam is 2 MegaPixels too .
2. MEMORY CARD
-If u buy a SE W800i , u will get a 512MB Memory Stick for free ;If u buy a SE W700i , U will only get a 256MB Memory Stick .
3. DESIGN
-Jus Check It Out Urself From The Image Of W700i N W800i !!!

If you read the spec of the w700i you will see that it doesn't have:
auto focus
come with a 512mb duo card
come in smooth white (white and orange)
One thing the spec does say it does have usb v2.0 where as the w800i doesn't. Not sure if that was a typing error on GSM Arenas part. But basically it is a w800i without auto focus and it has a 256mb card. Price wise i bet they will be both £279.00 at carphone warehouse.

What difference is between w800 and w700 ?? I compared them and nothing was different . I expect to see answers ;)

SE are becoming too much like nokia...
complete sellouts.
Nokia release about 5 phones each month, and before now, SE had a limited variety. Now they seem to be compying Nokia, creating an entire new phone with hardly any change to it's predecessor.
Same with the W810i. It's a black W800i without a joystick.
Gay.
