If you read the spec of the w700i you will see that it doesn't have:
auto focus
come with a 512mb duo card
come in smooth white (white and orange)
One thing the spec does say it does have usb v2.0 where as the w800i doesn't. Not sure if that was a typing error on GSM Arenas part. But basically it is a w800i without auto focus and it has a 256mb card. Price wise i bet they will be both £279.00 at carphone warehouse.

What difference is between w800 and w700 ?? I compared them and nothing was different . I expect to see answers ;)

SE are becoming too much like nokia...
complete sellouts.
Nokia release about 5 phones each month, and before now, SE had a limited variety. Now they seem to be compying Nokia, creating an entire new phone with hardly any change to it's predecessor.
Same with the W810i. It's a black W800i without a joystick.
Gay.

the w700 is really the w80o with a makeover. =='. i really think that it was a waste of production.

The cheaper alternative to the W800i would be the K750i, naturally. Unless you like the looks of the W800i.

SE Salesman, this is the cheaper alternative to the W800. If people are not too bothered about quality of camera, they can go for W700, which is cheaper than W800.

Total rip off by Sony Ericsson! With the sucess of the W800i, now comes 2 money spinner W810i and W700i with almost the same functions to spoil the name!! What is SE thinking?

i don't know...i think i'll buy this phone.i like the colour(it is much nicer!) and it has all the things i whant on a phone.
i just hope it will apiar soon in Romania.

weird move from SE, W700 should b bit cheaper, cos of smaller card, but still no point doing that. They could just do some colors and different cards for W800

same phone as w800, but with "huge" differences: memory, camera - autofocus.i own a w800, and i'm happy 'coz now maybe i will find more cases, i'm bored with orange of w800. Titanium Gold, Smooth White..... hmmmmm cool

Stop complaining, the colour is waaay nicer then the annoying orange (i like ornage, just not too much) and ppl get more to choose from

The only difference between this and the w800i is,the camera on the w700 has no auto focus on the w800 it does,and the memory card is 256 where as on the w800 its 512mb.the reason they have done this is because they are aiming for the pre pay market as the w700 is priced around £20 cheaper.
